PAWS FOR PURPLE

Hey Pals,

It's me Katie, finally blogging.  It has been very sad in our house, but we're trying to get happy again.  Since me and Mama's favorite color is PAWPLE, we thought we would show pictures of our purple iris that are blooming, along with some other photos of me, flowers and our ponds.

Can you tell we like purple???

Alright, isn't that enough pictures of me???  That sun is hurting my eyes.

In this picture I just got done feeding the koi fishies...

Now I'm on Koi Guard Duty while they finish their food.  I have to protect them from the mean Monster Birds!

I hope Angel Butchy will be proud of me.  I'm trying very hard to be as good of guard as he was.

MASTER BUTCHY WITH IMPAWTANT NEWS

Hey Pals,

Katie here to tell you about the wonderful prezzie that Master Butchy received today in the mail.  And let me tell ya, it tastes DIVINE!!!!

Our great pals Sally Ann, Andy and their Mom Lisa sent this pawsome treat package for Butchy.  It arrived at the best time for him.

Oh man, I smell peanut butterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......

Awwwwh, there it is........

Mama let me take the bag out all by myself, I really did!  See me pulling on the biscuit that is tied to the bag tie???

Now Butchy has some very impawtant things to tell you and ask of you.  So I'll let him woof now.

Hi Pals, as you know I have been very sick with this Cancer Monster and Seizure Monster.  My little body is wearing out I'm afraid.  I have been putting up a very brave tough terrier fight, but the cancerous brain tumor is very evil and hard to defeat.  We know many Angel Dogs & Cats have lost this battle too.  The tumor in my brain is making me lose control of bodily functions and I can hardly walk now and my vision is getting much worse.  Mama thinks the lung cancer is making it more difficult for me to breathe.  I want to leave this earth before my brain is damaged so much that I don't know my family.

Mama & Papa have made the hard decision to let me earn my angel wings and be with my sissie Angel Snickers soon.

I have packed my bags and tomorrow, Wednesday, May 25th, at approximately 5:00PM Central time I will leave this earth and join Angel Snickers in Heaven along with all of my other wonderful pals that have gone before me.

My best buddy & bro-in-law Gussie requested that I give Angel Snickers a kissie from him which I will.  So I thought it be appropriate that anyone that wants me to deliver a kissie to their Angels, to please blow a kiss my way at 5PM and I will take these to your Angels in Heaven.

My family wants to thank each and every one of you for all of your love, kindness, support, encouraging words, and for helping Mama & Papa pay for my medical expenses.  We deeply appreciate this.  We wish we could hug each and every one of you.  Please help take care of my Mama for me as she is a total wreck.  It has only been 1 1/2 years since Snickers left us and the hurt from losing her still makes Mama so sad.

Encourage Katie to keep blogging.  I know it will be hard for Mama to help her.  Captain Sylvester will take over my plane flying duties and escort our pals to our worldwide pawties.  I will make sure all of your Angels will have grand pawties up in Heaven.

I will see all of you again someday and we will have a grand celebration.

HAIL STORM AND BUTCHY UPDATE

Hey Pals,

It's Katie girl here.  Horrible tornadoes have been ripping across the Midwest in the last few days.  Joplin, MO was hit hard with many deaths.  It seems like just yesterday the deadly F5 tornado hit 20 miles from us in Parkersburg, Iowa on May 25, 2008.  So when the sirens started sounding yesterday afternoon, Mama was worried.  Several tornadoes were spotted in towns south of us and north of us.  We were very lucky here.  We only had very high winds and hail.  Some of the hail stones were golf ball size when we ventured out after the storm.  Most were like quarter size.  Here is a photo of the hail one hour after it fell.  The hail was so cold that we had instant steam everywhere after the rain stopped.

Mama was so happy that Butchy did not get worked up during the storm.  We think that since he is on so many potent drugs, maybe they kept him calm.  It could also be from the fact that Butchy does have some brain damage from the cancerous tumor and the many seizures.

Butchy is not doing so well today.   He doesn't want to walk outside.  Mama talked with the vet first thing today and he confirmed what we had suspected last week when his severe diarrhea started.  Butchy has partial loss of control of his bowel movements due to the brain tumor damage.  The diarrhea has pretty much stopped but he still has stool come out on it's own while he barks, is laying down, or walking, etc. and he doesn't have a clue it has happened.  We have peepee pads laying all over for him to lay on.  He doesn't mind them at all which is good.  But Mama is spending so much time cleaning him up.  He's probably sick of Mama cleaning his rear end and hind legs.

 

Poor little guy is not sleeping much now either.  He can't seem to get comfortable laying down.  We don't think he has any pain from the tumors in his left lung yet.  Being able to walk around is so hard for him now.  He toddles over and bumps into things.  Mama & Papa now carry him up and down the stairs since his vision is deteriorating.

Here I am looking at my brudder from the couch while he caught a short nap by the tv.  I don't know what I'm going to do without him.

Mama told us that her & Papa have a very very hard decision to make.  I think it's going to be a very hard week.  Thank you for all of your prayers and please say some extra prayers for Butchy this week.

POND PICTURES AND ITEMS FOR SALE FOR BUTCHY

Hey Pals,

Thank you to everyone for your kind words & messages.  We don't know how we would get through things without all of you beside us.  Butchy had another seizure last night and is very very tired today.  But the tiredness is normal for him for a whole day after having a seizure.  Hopefully Butchy will be more himself tomorrow.

We took a few pond pictures yesterday to show you.  Things are starting to green up around here, but the ponds will look much better in about 3-4 weeks when the iris and waterlilies are blooming

The pond farther back in the photo is actually the largest pond and that is where the koi live.  Once the pampass grass and other grasses grow, they will stand about 8 feet above the back end of the pond.

And here's me Katie!  Hmmmm, what is that buzzing sound we hear?  Mama said it was the humming birdies.

Ok, now for our items we need to sell.  This first item is actually an antique Fox Terrier Wheelie, probably made by Schuco in Germany.  Since this is one of the antiques we have to sell, it is not the price of our other items that we will have here.
