GROOMING AND INTRUDERS

Hey Pals,

It's me Katie!  Can you believe Mama got out the grooming table last night and brought it up to the loft?  Hmmm, she said I need my hair stripped AGAIN!  What do you think???

She told me that I'm still going to keep my LONG ear hairs.  We want to make sure that my ears stay down.  So for a few more months I'll keep my long ears, hehehe!

I only have a few baby toofers left to fall out.  When they are all out, then I'll cash in my toofers to the TOOFER FAIRY!  We have my toofers kept in a container.  I should make out pretty well since I've been so good with teething.  I haven't chewed on any furniture or clothes, or anything at all.

Now Mama told me I could chew on these intruders since they like to eat all of our hostas and flowers:

I can't figure out why they never want to play with me.  I wiggle my tail at them and watch them, but they just stare.  Then eventually they trot away.  HOW RUDE!!!

REST IN PEACE KOI AGATHA

Thank you to everyone for all of the prayers for Koi Agatha.  She was a Tancho Koi, the only one that Mama had.  Her wounds were just too severe for her to beat them.  Mama thinks her swim bladder was punctured from the biggest wound.  She passed away late this afternoon.  She fought hard to live, but it wasn't meant to be.

EMERGENCY PRAYERS NEEDED FOR KOI AGATHA!

Hey Pals,

Now to some hoomans this may seem silly, but you know that our Koi are our pets too.  Well Koi Agatha needs your prayers now.

This morning Papa went outside and a #)$(*)#(%& MONSTER BIRD ( aka Great Blue Heron ) had Koi Agatha in it's nasty beak.  The heron was startled and so it dropped Koi Agatha onto the hard rocks outside of the pond by the bridge.  OH MY DAWG!!!

Mama is freaking of course, she grabs a hooooge net and puts Koi Aggie into it and sets her into the water.  Then she gets a hospital tank set up for her.  Poor Koi Aggie, she has MAJOR wounds.  Mama has the tank set up inside of the garage.  Aggie is about 10 inches long, so if we can get her to survive the night, then Mama will set up a 110 gal. tank for her in the garage.  We don't want to post a picture at this point as it would be very gross.  Mama is confident that if we can get Koi Aggie through the night, she has a good chance of recovering.

What a bad time for this to happen too, Papa & Mama's friends are all coming over tonight for grilling and sitting out by the fire.  Mama will not be in a happy mood.

SO PLEASE PRAY FOR KOI AGGIE!!!!!

MAKEUP LESSONS AND FLOODING!

Hey Pals,

It's me Kkkkatie!  Yep, I'm still talking funny cause I have lots of toofers missing in my mouf.

Mama told me I can have Lacie come give me MAKE-UP lessons, cause she caught me like this:

She told me I look like the JOKER!  Who is that???  Anyways, if I'm going to have MAKE-UP lessons, I told Mama that I must have a BEDROOM VANITY !!!

We'll be doing another product review soon from CSN Stores, so keep watching.  I sure hope Lacie can visit soon for my lessons.

Some of you might have already heard about all of the rain storms we had in the midwest last night.  Well, it is a disaster!!  Flooding everywhere.  We had over 8 inches of rain here at our house, YEPPERS!  And what a HOOOOOGE mess the rain made.

Both koi ponds flooded badly, we have a third pond in the yard from all of the rain, tree branches down everywhere.  HOOOGE boulders were washed away from the edges of our ponds, and you know what that did???????


It washed KOI and SHUBUNKINS out of the ponds!  Mama was in tears for hours searching for koi on our land where the water rushes out of the ponds.  See the big pampas grass at the end of the biggest pond??

She was crawling around in that stuff, which she is highly allergic to.  We hope she doesn't get those horrible rashes from the grass.  She was able to rescue 2 large 9 inch shubunkins, another one wasn't so lucky.  Some critter found one and ate it on our bridge, some nerve.  She also saved 11 pretty young koi.  She knows there are as least 100 dead little ones.  Silly Mama even tried the heart massage on one pretty yellow koi, but it didn't save him.

We're uncertain if any larger koi were washed away.  We don't think so, but not positive.  The water in the ponds is mud color right now, so we can't even see the fish well.  In a few days it will clear up and we'll be able to do a fish head count.

Even though this is a disaster for us, there are so many people with flooded homes right now.  We're lucky that our house and land is high enough up from the river, which is at the end of our road.

Mama thinks MOTHER NATURE needs a CHILL PILL!!!  or maybe a LACIE SMOOTHIE!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGEL SNICKERS AND KATIE!

Today our bootiful Angel Snickers would have turned 8 years old.  We still can't believe she is not here with us.  Mama still has very sad days cause she misses her so. 

But can you believe little Katie is already 5 months old today?  Angel Snickers would be so proud of Katie.  Katie made little strange growl noises yesterday just like Snickers used to do.

Snickers' bestest birfday pawty was when her lovely Gussie and his family came to Ioway for her 5th birfday.

NEW TOOFERS AND PRAYERS FOR OUR FRIENDS

Hey Pals,
What a weekend.  Thanks to everyone for their Power Of The Paw.  First our pal Mango had a nasty seizure, his first ever.  Mama knows well about those awful things as most of you know Angel Snickers had them for several years before leaving us.  We feel so bad that Mango had to suffer through one of those.  We sure hope he never has another one.  

Next our good friends Lacie, Scruffy & BabyStan's Papa had to be taken to the emergency room at the hospital for an emergency procedure for his heart.  He is doing well now thanks to Mumsie's fast actions and the doctors that helped him.  Please keep sending prayers his way so that he has a full recovery.

Poor Katie is still losing her puppy toofers, hehehe!  She has lost 14 so far.  She refuses to tell me how much money she has collected from the Toofer Fairy though.  No fair keeping secrets from her brudder.

She has about 10 new teeth in now, check out these new pearly whites:

If you look right in front of her top fangs, you can see red spots where the new fangs are trying to push their way through the gum tissue now.

Her bottom puppy fangs are gone, hehehehe!  She can't latch onto me as well when we wrestle, harharharhar!

The far back molars that never have a pupper toof are poking through now too.  They look like they hurt, yowzer!

Sometimes when she naps now she has drool come out of her mouth, so I've been cleaning her up well.  I lick her whole face!  She sure loves it.  Uh oh, I see some more drool.  Better go clean her up again.

KATIE IS SPAYED AND KOI NAMES

Hey Pals,

Look at this sad face:

Katie had her spay surgery yesterday and also had her dew claws removed.  She decided to lay inside of the cat house that Mama made.  It sits by Mama's chair here at the computer.  Katie is doing fine, but pretty tired.  She is on pain pills so they probably make her more tired.

She is almost 5 months old and now weighs 8 lbs. 9 oz.  She looks pretty skinny now as her legs are growing again, hehehe.  She has had 11 baby teeth fall out and has 2 more that are barely hanging on.  Her new toofers are coming in all pearly white, nice and straight.  Of course she has Mama waiting on her continuously, hehehe!  Mama takes her up and down stairs.  She doesn't want her to hurt her belly incisions.

Many of you know we have been raising young koi and baby koi again for our ponds.  We finally released 10 young koi into the largest pond now on Friday.  AND of course they now have names, names of our pals!

These koi were all between 4 and 6 inches now, so they should do fine through their first winter.  Mama has them fattened up pretty good and now they'll have 3 months of eating in the pond before the cold weather sets in.  The baby koi in the house will stay in the aquarium through winter.  They will then go into the ponds next May or June.

We have named other koi in the pond that we do not have good pictures of yet.  So we thought we would just list all of our koi names.
