BABY KOI AND PONDS

Hey Pals,

We have some new pictures of our baby koi that we are raising indoors.  Some are growing really fast, almost 2 inches long.  Others are still tiny. (you should be able to click on the pictures to biggify them)

The big koi in the ponds have been breeding for 5 days again, so tomorrow new babies should be hatching in the ponds.

We also found hundreds of baby koi in our smaller pond.  This has happened a few other years.  The eggs get sucked up in the bottom drain of the big pond, go through the water pump up to the waterfall and down into the smaller pond to hatch.  See the baby koi circled in the photo below:

The babies like to hide under the lily pads.   Now we'll have to lower the water in the smaller pond this Fall to catch all of those koi and put them into the big pond for winter.  We only aerate the large pond during the winter.

Did we tell you that Mama has purple fingers??  Yep, Papa has been picking the wild black raspberries for a week and we have berries all over the house.  Mama already made some jam with some of them.  This is about how many Papa can pick in an hour, this is a 5 quart ice cream bucket container:

Katie wanted to use them to dye her hair PAWPLE, but Mama wouldn't let her.  Lacie even gave her some hair dying tips, but Mama just wouldn't give in to Katie.  Guess we better go help Mama wash some more berries.

KATIE LOST HER FIRST TOOFIE AT 4 MONTHS OLD!

Hey Pals,

It's meeee K-k-k-katie.  Yesterday I turned 4 months old and guess what happened to me today???

I lost my very FIRST TOOFIE!!! See:

Think I can con Mama into giving me some ice or ice cream???  tee hee!

Mama is going to save my toofers that she finds.  She did this when little Angel Snickers was a wee pup and then she made a necklace out of her toofers for Papa.  Mama even showed it to me.  It's cool!

Butchy and I have been way busy guarding the koi fishies.  We still haven't caught that nasty snapping turtle yet.  Mama is hoping he left to go back to the river at the end of our road.  Now for your viewing pleasure, here is a picture of the koi:

Ok, now we need the power of the paw for our buddy Scruffy!  He has been sick for days and Mumsie had to take him to the mergency vettie late last night.  Poor Scruffy.  He is sick from both ends, plus his sore paw.  He needs lots of healing paw right now.  Please pray for him to heal up quickly.

CAT TREE REVIEW

Hey Pals,

Remember when we told you that CSN Stores was going to send us some free products to try out and review?  Well check out the CAT TREE that the catsies have now:

The cat tree arrived in super fast time!  We couldn't believe it.

Hootie claimed the box for herself right away.  Mama had to kick her off of the box so she could open it.

Ruby had other plans, she snagged the set up tree for herself as soon as Mama had it standing:

But then Hootie kicked Ruby off and played with that PURPLE pompom toy for hours!

All of the girl catsies take turns napping on the top bunk:

The cats love the tree by the windows in the loft.  It's easier for them to watch the birds up in the pine trees.  This cat tree is very sturdy.  Three of the cats have been on it at once jumping around and the tree doesn't tip at all.  Even Katie tries to crawl up the tree, hehehe!

Hootie seems to think the tree is only for her, hehehe!  Look at that sneeky face:

But don't worry, see those fox terrier stuffies in the background???  They keep tabs on Hootie so that she shares the tree.

That girl has so many PAWPLE things already, I just can't believe it!  Think she has been learning about fashion from Laciecakes!

FUR CAKE???

What the heck is this???

Doesn't it look like an angel food cake??? hehehe!

Would you believe that is all of the hair that Mama stripped from Katie's puppy furs????

Yep it is.  So here are some photos of the teenager Katie:

(now remember, we can't strip the hair on her ears yet cause we want to keep them weighted down to make sure they stay folded down, otherwise they could stick straight up and she would look like a bunny rabbit!)

SAY GOODBYE TO MY PUPPY HAIRS

Hey Pals,

It's me Kkkkkkatie!  I'm 15 weeks old now and Mama says it's time to start stripping out my puppy fur.  I even went to the vettie this week and had the last of my puppy shots.  I just luv going to the vet.  I get so much attention, lots of hugs and kissies and TREATS!  And guess what?  In three weeks I gained 1 lb. 12 oz.  I now weigh 6 lbs. 14 oz.  Mama says I'm almost half of what I will weigh someday.

So here are some pictures of me so that you can say goodbye to my puppy hairs:

I do hope I look just as cute after Mama grooms my hair.  Hmmmmm,  I wonder what Bertie will think???
Oh, and here is a picture of Butchy guarding the koi this morning.  He chased away a Kingfisher birdie, hehehehe!

By the way, not to worry, Koi Nurse Agatha has been busy tending to the baby koi in the big pond while I nurse the babies in the aquarium.  Here is Koi Agatha:

PS  Mama & Papa are going to their friends house today that have the pet deer.  One of the Mama deer gave birth to 2 baby boys.  Mama hopes she can get some good photos of them!
