PRAYERS NEEDED FOR JACSKON

Hey Pals,

Our buddy Jackson had a stroke on Thursday.  Please pray for him to have a complete recovery.  He is one tuff little terrier and we know he can pull through this with our help.

The prayer flags are flying high for you Jackson!

We love you Jackson!

As some of you know, I'm getting a new sissie.  Well, it's down to two of the puppers.  Mumsie and Clacie went to visit them the other day and they are growing so fast!  Stop by Scruffy, Lacie & Stan's blog to see some of the pics from the visit.

Mama is going crazy trying to decide which pupper to pick.  The breeder will be doing the temperament testing next weekend and then Mama will be able to decide for sure which girl will be my sissie.

It's between PINK GIRL and PURPLE GIRL.  Which one will it be?????????????????????????????

Could you pick between these two sweet faces?????

BEAUTIFUL PAINTING!

Hey Pals,

We received a very very special wonderful gift from several of our blogging friends.  The UPS man delivered a pizza box to us.  Yep, a pizza box.

I was sniffing the box like crazy cause I could smell my sweet Cousin Asta!  Some of you know that her Mommi - Ami is a professional artist and paints wonderful pictures.  Please be sure to check out her web site:
AMARILLIS  DELENDVAY  KROON

Anyhoo, we were soooooo excited to see what was inside of the box....................

It is a beautiful painting of our Angel Snickers when she was a wee pup - 3 1/2 months old:

(click on the picture to biggify)

Isn't she gorgeous???  It matches the burgundy walls in our bedroom pawfectly!  Ami based the portrait on a picture we have of Snickers taken when she was only 3 1/2 months old and missing her front baby teeth.

Her little pink tongue and nose look soooooooooooooooooo REAL!  It's simply amazing!  We want to thank all of our friends involved for this wonderful gift, we will treasure it always!  When we walk into our bedroom, first thing we will always see is our Angel Snickers looking at us.................

ONE MONTH OLD!

Hey Pals,

Today my new sissie is one month old!

I sure wish I knew which one she is.  Mama has a guess, but she's not telling me yet.  She could be wrong.

The other night I was dreaming, and this is what it was:

My dream was that all three puppers came to live with me!  Yikes, 3 sissies all at once.  Whatever would I do.  I think one new sissie will be just fine.

I figured I best start getting some supplies around here.  So I bought a few things for my sissie.  Think these will work:

This way I can transport her around our yard until she's big enough to romp in the tall grass.  Plus when it rains, she won't get her paws wet or muddy, hehehehe.

Then I figured a pup can't be without one of these:

I already mailed the phone to her so she can call me or Lacie.  I hope she can figure out how to use it.  Awwwh, I'm sure Angel Snickers will teach her how to call us.  I already programmed the numbers in it for her.  Well, I better go do some more shopping.  Mama gave me some monies so I can buy her things.  I suppose I better give some of the money to the catsies so they can buy her a prezzie too!

CHICKS DELIVERED!

Hey Pals,

Wow, did we have a shock when the chicks were hatched.  Remember Lacie had her special DNA Magic Potion for Dr. Snitchybug to inject into my pawple eggs???

Just look at that look on Lacie's face, hehehehe!  Since Lacie had to leave for her date with McGill, Nurse Asta agreed to help me deliver my chicks.  She hopped onto my plane and we took off!

We had to really go fast as Miss Snickers II was really fretting, these chicks were trying to pop out of their eggs.

Of course I had several ideas of what my pawple chicks would look like:

or maybe this:

but Oh My Dawg, check out my sissie chicks:

I almost fainted.  Good thing Nurse Asta had some PERK ME UP smoothies on hand.

We're so excited about my sissies.  But uh oh, there are 3 of them.  Mama said I can only have one live with us.

Oh man, how in the world will I ever pick which one..............................

The puppies were actually born on Feb. 20th, 2010 in Chesterland, Ohio at Birchhurst Kennels.  This is the same place where Scruffy was born 4 years ago.  The three girls also have one little brother.  Their Mama's name is LILLY and their Papa's name is DOC.  They are all related to Scruffy, Asta, Duffy, Jenny, Nicky & our Angel Snickers.

Here are some pictures of the girls at about 12 days old:

When the girls are 6 weeks old, the breeder will do the temperament testing on them.  Then again at 7 weeks old.  We are having the breeder help us pick which girl would best suit living here with us.  We are so excited we can hardly stand it!

The lucky girl will be at our house on April 17th, at least that is the plan right now.  We already have a name list, but won't be able to pick which name for sure until we know which little girl is ours.  We know that Angel Snickers had a lot to do with this batch of puppies and only she knows which one is going to be ours!

RUBY THE MONKEY GIRL!

Hey Pals,

Look what my silly cat sissie Ruby did today, she climbed up to the top of this ladder!  It's 10 feet tall.  She was on the top when Papa caught her up there, but moved down some before Mama could snap this photo:

Mama has to use this ladder to change light bulbs in our ceiling fans and to clean the fans.  She also uses it to clean the upper windows by the fireplace.  She has to stand on the top rung of the ladder when doing the windows, ooooooooooooooooo!  Scaweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!  Maybe she should teach Ruby to clean the windows for her.

Our snow keeps melting here in Iowa and now many rivers and creeks are flooding everywhere.  The house at the end of our dead end road has water almost to the house already.  We hope it doesn't get flooded like it did a few years ago.  The deer keep walking around our land in herds now, munching on every green leaf they see coming up out of the ground, which includes Mama's daylilies, hehehehe.  Mama better train those bambi deer better so that they don't eat her flowers.  The ice on our ponds is melting away too.  Many of the water plants have green shoots popping up out of the water now.  So far so good, no dead koi from winter.  Keep your paws crossed.  Have a great weekend!

CHESTERLAND, HERE WE COME!

Hey Pals,

Lacie, Miss Snickers II and I are on a safety mission.  We MUST insure the safety of my pawple eggs.  Lacie offered to sit on them for me, but well, you know, see her bloggy!  hehehehe!

So I prepared my indestructable egg crate for transporting Miss Snickers II and my pawple eggs.  Check this out, indesctructable BUBBLE!

The bubble will keep Miss Snickers II and my eggs completely safe while we travel in  my purple plane to Chesterland, Ohio.

Lacie:  Now don't forget these for the purple chicks!!

Yep, purple pacifiers!

We figured it would be best to take my pawple eggs to a dog mommy for proper hatching.  (Actually Miss Snickers II insisted on it.)  So I searched the United States and found Miss Lilly.  She is currently caring for a batch of puppies so I figured she would still have some milk to feed my chicks.  She happily agreed to help hatch the chicks and feed them.  But if they start to peck on her, she might send them back home to me, hehehehe.

Well, we're almost to Chesterland.  Got anymore smoothies Lacie???  What??  Miss Snickers II said WHAT?????????

Oh my, gotta hurry up and land the plane, the baby chicks are wiggling around in their eggs trying to crack them open!  Yikes!

STAY TUNED!!

SCRUFFS Old Wheelies Dog Show

Hey Pals,

Have you entered the Scruffs contest yet???  Ya know, the contest for Old Wheelies in photos??  Be sure to check out Eric Square Dog's Bloggy for the details.

I'm standing here with Josephine, one of the contestants.  She was so happy to be picked to enter one of her photos.

You should see all of the other wheelies here at our house.  They are lining up to have their photos taken, hoping Mama will choose them to enter the contest.

Boy, oh boy, I counted the wheelies and we have 16 of them!  I said 16!  That's way too many wheelies in one house.  That doesn't even count the NON-wheelie stuffies that live here.  What am I gonna do???  I'm totally outnumbered by catsies AND wheelies AND non-wheelies!  I sure hope those pawple eggs hurry up and hatch so that I have a sissie chick living here.  I need to figure out how to speed up the hatching process.  Better call Lacieon the cell phone quick.  She'll have some good ideas.

HAPPY GOTCHA DAY BUTCHY!

Hey Pals,

Today is the 6th anniversary of my GOTCHA DAY!!!  On March 7, 2004, on a Sunday, Mama, Papa & Angel Snickers drove half way to St. Loulis to meet me and my first family at a park.  The snow was actually all gone and it was SPRING.  There were a lot of mud puddles in the park and of course I had to go run in them, hehehe. Angel Snickers and I walked all over the park to see if we liked each other.   It didn't take Mama long to figure out that I was going home with them.  Weeeeee, to my new home in Ioway.

When I woke up this morning, Mama told me to come outside.  She had a prezzie for me:

A second airplane and it's PURPLE!

I couldn't believe it!  Now I have two airplanes.  Yellow for transporting my boyfriends and PURPLE for picking up the girls!  Kousin Asta, Lacie, Kousin Koobie, Fergi, Teka, Agatha......................  Too many girls to list, hehehe!

And speaking of girls, Mama has been talking to me about this terrier hunting thing she has been doing lately.  We have decided that I might like another sissie.  I really miss Angel Snickers.  So I told Mama that looking for a sissie is ok with me.  Brudder, sissie, doesn't make a difference to me.

A few weeks ago, some special little birdies came to our window and whispered some secrets to me.

( Lacie, Scruffy & BabyStan know just how special these little birdies are to us too!! )
It seems that Angel Snickers talked to them and told them to come see me.  I can't tell you what they whispered, but in due time you'll figure out what it was all about.

I do think Mama is taking WAY TOO LONG to find me a sissie or brudder.  So I decided to work on this.  I figure that I can hatch myself a sissie chick!  I convinced Lacie to help me out.  She was more than willing to work on this with me.

First I hired Lacie to collect the pawfect DNA for our project.  If you read her bloggy you can see how she obtained the DNA.  Very clever if I do say so myself, tee hee.

Next Lacie and I convinced Dr. Snitchybug aka Dr. Snitchenstein to insert this DNA into 3 pawple eggs.

I used brown eggs from cage free hens and then dyed them pawple!

Don't they look pawsome???  I have had them for a few weeks now.  I make sure to turn them every day and I even convinced Scuby and Hootie to sit on them for me to keep them warm.  You probably wonder why I have 3 eggs, well, I want to be sure that at least one of them hatches.  Mama told me that some eggs don't always hatch into little chicks.  So hopefully in another week, maybe one of the eggs will hatch into a sissie chick!  Mama told me how to raise baby chicks since she had raised them as a little girl.  She had lots of fun raising pet chickens.  She even had pet rabbits and they had babies too.  So keep your paws crossed that a baby sissie chick hatches in a week or so.  Lacie and I will keep you updated on the progress.

I am so happy that Mama, Papa and Angel Snickers rescued me 6 years ago.  I sure hope I have another 6 wonderful years with Mama and Papa.  And I know I will see Angel Snickers again someday!

SPRING IS NEAR! & CATMOPOLITAN???

Hey Pals,

Well today we figured out that Spring is near in Iowa.  And just how do we know that???  The proof is in the photos.  As usual, we went outside this morning to refill the cat food bowl for the orange/white cat that comes around and to get the camera stick out of the outdoor camera.  Lo and behold, but what did we see:

This is me Butchy of course:

This is the orange and white cat.  He still only comes around during the night, so we haven't been able to work on getting him tame.

But then what is this????  It's a darn raccoon.  Those pesky vermin are coming out from their winter hibernation.

After he checked out the cat food bowl, he proceeded to go into the garage and tear open some garbage.  What a mess!

We also found something in our yard the other day.  Very sad.  A dead bambi deer.  We can't tell if it was hit by a car and then crawled under our trees or if it was starving or sick and just crawled under the trees.  This winter has been very hard on the critters.  The snow is still so deep that they can't find food.

Our cat Hootie wants to show you what she got in the mail from the DOG HOOTIE!  Yep, little Hootie the Welsh Terrier.  Hootie was so surprised to receive a prezzie in the mail.  It's her first package, hehehehe.

Here she is smelling the package and trying to figure out how to open it:

She picked up Hootie's scent and proceeded to roll all over the envelope, tee hee!

Finally I stepped in to help her open the package:

Oh my dog, it's CATMOPOLITAN!!!  We never knew they made such a thing.  Hootie was going crazy trying to figure out how to open the pages.  So Mama had to help her out.

After Hootie reads all of the articles, she'll be sure to pass on the tips to all of our cat friends.

Thank you so much Hootie the dog!!!
