HAPPY BLOGOVERSARY TO US!

Hey Pals,

Today is our 4th Blogoversary!



We can hardly believe we've been blogging on here this long.  Mama made us a new blog layout, do you like it?  That was part of the strange things that were going on around here.  She would work on the background, and if we came around the computer, she would hide the page.  We want to send a HUGE THANK YOU to Ann from Zoolatry for so generously offering to make our new header for us!  We really love it!!!

We would like to thank all of our friends that we have made over the past 4 years for being there for us.  We don't know what we would do without all of you.  We wish our Angel Snickers was still here with us, but we know she is watching over all of us and happily greets each of our pals that crosses to the bridge to be with her.  We even told Kousin Asta that we bet Snickers is holding fashion classes up in heaven!

I, Inspector Butcho discovered WHY the VACANCY light is now lit on our sign on the house.  Yep, it is now official that Mama is TERRIER HUNTING!






Can you believe it?  She's trying to adopt an adult terrier sissie or brudder for us, yippeeee!  It's hard to tell when the right dog for us will come along.  Now that we have 4 catsies living here, we have to be sure the new dog will like them too.  Mama has actually been looking for several weeks now.  She inquired about many lovely dogs, but they weren't right for us.  Some of them didn't get along well with cats either.  So keep your paws crossed that we can find the right dog soon!

We also would like to thank everyone that has donated and voted in the HSUS Spay/Neuter Contest.  You still have until Midnight (EST) March 3rd to have your votes counted.  Mama emailed the Humane Society to ask them why PayPal wasn't an option for donations.  Well, they set up a special link for this, you must follow the instructions below:

FISHY STUFF GOING ON

Hey Pals,



It has been pretty quiet around here the last week or so. So many of our blogging pals have left us to go to the Rainbow Bridge. So much sadness.

We take comfort in knowing that our Angel Snickers is now reunited with some of her pals again and they are happy & running free forever!

I thought I would tell you what my cat sis Ruby has been up to lately. She kind of got into trouble, hehehehe, snicker, snicker!

We were up in the loft and suddenly Ruby started meowing. But she wasn't up in the loft with us. Her meows were coming from the main floor area. So Mama looked over the railing to see if she could see Ruby:

Just look at those laser eyes:


She jumped up onto the top of that cupboard all by herself. Then she didn't know how to get down. That's why she was meowing for Mama. Such a big baby, hehehehe.

Mama let her meow for a bit, hoping she will learn NOT to jump up there again.

Then Mama got her down. We think she might have learned her lesson, cause she hasn't jumped up there since. Ruby is the only daredevil of my kitty siblings. She likes to climb up high, like on top of the frigeator, the tall bedroom dresser, etc. Although she finally did learn NOT to jump onto the dresser, thank kitty.

I've noticed some fishy things going on around here lately too. I, Inspector Butcho am going to open an investigation to figure things out.

Firstly, our 4th Blogoversary is this Thursday. Think that has anything to do with the strange happenings??

Second, my 6th Gotcha Day anniversary is March 7th. Think it's to do with that?? Hmmmmmm........

Thirdly, notice the sign on the fireplace has changed from NO VACANCY to VACANCY?????????


This could be scary! Did you notice that the MUTTON HOLLOW INN part of the sign is now PURPLE instead of pink??? Do you think Lacie has anything to do with this???

If anyone comes up with some answers or evidence, please let me know as soon as possible. I need to solve this mystery.

SCOTTISH ANGEL SNICKERS

LATE VALENTINE'S POST

Hey Pals,

We're posting for Valentine's Day a bit late. Mama had a sad time trying to make Valentine's pictures without our girl Snickers here with us. Mama always had so much fun dressing her up for photo sessions. She told me that boys just aren't as fun to dress up for photos, sigh.....

Anyway, here is my Valentine......

We did have some fun exciting news today from our pals Carrleigh, Piper, Lilly & Java at Rocky Creek Scottie Adventures. They just held a contest to name their new puppies that Carrleigh delivered. There are 5 boys & 4 girls. And guess what???? We won! They named the 9th puppy 'Snickers'. We are very honored. Here is the cute pup girl Snickers:

DIGGING OUT IOWA STYLE

Hey Pals,

Is it Spring yet??? We have sooooo much snow here. Mama thinks we should have a cross country ski resort here, hehehe.

This is how we dig out from the snow in Iowa:


There was so much snow in front of the tractor blade that the tires on the tractor were spinning. The tires even have chains on them. Our driveway is about 250 plus feet long, so there is a lot of snow to move.


Oh boy, we can see in front of the garage again.


The catsies are still a little afraid of the big tractor noises. This is what Hootie does:


She just loves that stinkin' bowl. Who would of thought when Mama found the large one at an antique show last summer that it would be a HOOTIE BOWL!!

Scuby stays by the basement door when the tractor is plowing. This way she is close to her hiding place, downstairs.


Now that the drive is clear, I can continue my investigation as to who put the neon sign on our garage last week.


Guilty???


Uh oh, Mama noticed that in my photo my fur is looking a bit woolly. Ya know what that means???? HAIR STRIPPING & CLIPPING

FREE MEOWTINIS & PAWGARITAS!

Hey Pals,

Look what we caught on our outdoor camera:

The black cat that we have seen in the past....


That silly bambi that hangs around the house....


Now who put that sign on our garage??? Was it the orange & white male cat that we have been feeding???


He swears he didn't do it. He doesn't want to share his food that we've been giving him, so why would he invite the neighborhood critters over for meowtinis & pawgaritas???

Hmmmm, I, Inspector Butcho sniffed around looking for evidence:

I just couldn't find any incriminating paw prints. Ruby & Scuby were upset cause they didn't get any free drinks.


No meowtinis in my tent.



None in my tunnel either........sigh......

Guess I'll have to keep the investigation open. In the mean time, Mama removed the sign from the garage. Seems the 2 cats have been hanging out in there too at night. Any bets the BEAST LACIE has had some secret powker games going on??? hehehehe! (ooops, I didn't call her the BEAST did I??? I must be talking to Mango too much lately, tee hee!)

Scuby & Hootie both went to the cat-tor yesterday for shots. Mama said Scuby was NOT a happy camper. She meowed so loud. Scuby has stayed at a stable weight since we rescued her. She is 8 lbs. 12 oz. No more vet visits for those 2 for a year now.

Uh oh, I see the evil purple animal dyson is out on the floor. Mama must be sweeping up my crumbs I leave, hehehe. She says I'm not a very good vacuum cleaner.
