We're finally digging out from our snow storm late last week. It snowed around 11 inches total here in Janesville. There is so much snow cover on the ground now that the ground temperature is warming up. We have fog in the mornings and everything is covered with pretty frost.
We took some pictures to show you. By mid day, the sun comes out and the frost falls off of the trees. So we take the photos early in the morning.

Check out this cool spidey-web:

With the deep snow covering the ice on the ponds, the water has warmed up a bit. So now the air hole is open again. Can you see the bambi tracks leading to the water hole?

Check out these bambi trails:

The deer have trails all over our land now. Usually after a big snow storm they curl up and sleep in the deep snow out of the winds for a few days. Then they get up and start roaming for food again.

Here is the little Snow Queen Katie:

She just can't get enough of this white stuff. She burrows down into the deep snow every time we go outside.

She also eats as much snow as she can pack in and then she does a HOOOOOOGE BURP!

What a winter wonderland! We got a little less but it was a lot! Grandmom's dog Katie loved the snow too and would run and jump in it. Us cats just like being warm indoors!

Awesome snow pics ~ we especially like the spider's web one.
Our snow has just melted here in Sidmouth, England, but we had it for 2 whole weeks!
Your pictures are just beautiful! It's a winterwonderland at your house!

Love ya lots

I love when the snow is on the trees like that. It looks so magical, like a "winter wonderland" yeah I know, that is sooo trite, but these photos are beautiful!
Wow the snow is so beautiful at your house! It was that way at our house for a few hours - but here the cars start to muck it all up very quickly and it ruins the beauty. It is good that the water is open so the deer can drink again - we aren't sure if they would try to eat the snow for water if they needed it.
And Katie is so funny to like to burrow in the snow! This first winter for her has to be so much fun!
Just look at all that white stuff!!! We didn't get any at all....yet! Have a great day!
Lovely snow pics!!! Our humans had snow in St. Loulis -- but we were here at home this year and didn;t get a bite!
Katie, you look so adorable in the snow!!!Wish we weren't so far away!

not much snow like this at my house in Southern California, although I am glad you shared. I really like the cob web!!
We're lucky enough to have a Husky, who loves the snow (and she's lucky that we live in Rochester, so she gets plenty of it). Our cats don't like the snow so much as they simply like to get out of the house; me, I like to watch them plunging through the drifts higher than their heads, like dolphins cresting the whitecaps and plummeting back in...
