HERE A BUCK, THERE A BUCK, EVEN LITTLE BUTTON BUCKS!

Hey Pals,

See this tree that's on our land???

Well Papa set up the outdoor camera by it to see what critters go bump in the night!

Hmmmm, he didn't bring in the photo chip for 5 days and guess how many pictures it had on it??? A bit over 3000 !!!!!
Mama about died. Do you know how long it takes to go through that many pictures, delete the ones you don't want???? HOURS & HOURS & HOURS

So, we picked out a few to show you.

It's that time of year that the bucks rub the velvet off of their antlers and onto the tree trunks! Errrr, ummmm, and of course Papa didn't have wire around this tree, duh!

So now Mama has the guilty parties on film:

There are many different bucks in these photos. Some are 12 pointers, 10 pointers, 8 pointers, 6 pointers, spike bucks and a button buck.

( you should be able to click on each photo to biggify )

Caught in the act of rubbing the tree bark:

This is a little button buck with his twinnie fawn doe sissie:

Can you see the little button nubs on his head???

Check out Mr. Raccoon:

Doesn't this doe have lovely eyelashes???

Can you see the Opossum???

Obviously this buck thinks we can't see him behind the tree, hehehehe!

So what scary things are in your yard at night???

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Butchy! Katie! Those night eyes look SPOOKY! And you got to see all kinds of 'em visiting your tree.

We had a different sort of visitor last night ... Moma's pretty sure the elk are back, 'cause this morning there were branches all over the ground, and they were big and had been too high for the deer to reach. We heard the popping and cracking last night, but didn't think much of it, figuring it was the deer. Nope. We'll be watching for them to come back tonight. Or at least Moma'll be watching. We'll probably be sleeping.

Hope you have a Happy Halloween. Fergi wants to know, Butchy, if you like country western music. She's gettin' acquainted with it, seein' as how NinaGirl's roommates all like country. Anyhow ... Fergi (and I) are trying to fit in ... and it's sorta fun.

Yeehawww!

Wow - those are some pretty big creatures you get in your garden. I think it would freak me out if I saw those. The foxes send me into a lather - can you imagine the big deer?

Lots of licks

Happy Halloween! You certainly get a lot of visitors. We get mule deer, raccoons, skunks and sometimes a coyote going down the street.

Honestly Kids,
Why would a buck waste good money on that velvet fabric and just rub it off???? Sheesch...if you could pic up the scraps and send them to the Lacie, I could have a lovely dress made for the howlidays...I'm just sayin'....

That poor tree...it needs to learn how to fight back...

Mumsie just put a bunch of chicken and onion, celery, carrots and stuff in a pot and it smells heavenly in here....

Kisses,

Lacie who got out last night and chased those stoopid freeloading kids all over the yardie with Mumsie screechin' at me...um Daddy let me out...well, he opened the door before I was "restrained"....

HAHAHAHAHAA!

Lacie

Love ya!

Just checking to make sure that you all got home OK after the Halloween party. We will have to do this again soon. Thanks for coming.

Wow! I am so glad that you had more photos that showed what was really outside. At first I thought the tree was coming to life. Great photos.
