Look at this sad face:
Katie had her spay surgery yesterday and also had her dew claws removed. She decided to lay inside of the cat house that Mama made. It sits by Mama's chair here at the computer. Katie is doing fine, but pretty tired. She is on pain pills so they probably make her more tired.
She is almost 5 months old and now weighs 8 lbs. 9 oz. She looks pretty skinny now as her legs are growing again, hehehe. She has had 11 baby teeth fall out and has 2 more that are barely hanging on. Her new toofers are coming in all pearly white, nice and straight. Of course she has Mama waiting on her continuously, hehehe! Mama takes her up and down stairs. She doesn't want her to hurt her belly incisions.
Many of you know we have been raising young koi and baby koi again for our ponds. We finally released 10 young koi into the largest pond now on Friday. AND of course they now have names, names of our pals!

These koi were all between 4 and 6 inches now, so they should do fine through their first winter. Mama has them fattened up pretty good and now they'll have 3 months of eating in the pond before the cold weather sets in. The baby koi in the house will stay in the aquarium through winter. They will then go into the ponds next May or June.
We have named other koi in the pond that we do not have good pictures of yet. So we thought we would just list all of our koi names.

good to hear from you...and we are feeling soooo sorry for Katie. Imagine, having to wait for Mama to wait on you hand and foot! That must be truly miserable.
We think all the Koi fit their names pretty well, and hope that you continue to do a good job guarding against the evil bird.

This is Nurse Lacie, almost RN....yes, yes, I know you're sore, dear girlie...but I insist on getting you up out of bed and walking around a bit....that's it...hold a stuffie to your incision...yep...now take some big breaths and cough...I know it hurts, but it's very important for your lungs...do you need to use the potty? Taking plenty of fluids? Gooooooooooood girlie!!!
Yes, now you can lie down again...and it's time for PM back care...I will get you a small snack from the nourishment cart and rub your back a bit....
And you can freshen up with a warm washrag...
And yes, I have a special black raspberry smoothie that I popped your pain medicine in...
That's it, dear girl...use the straw...yes, put your head on the pillow and take a small nap...I will be sitting right here with ya working on my lace crocheting...
No, we're not going out tonight in Butchy's plane...it's much too soon after surgery to even think of such a thing...

WOW that's a LOT of KOI names! You must have HUGE ponds!!! Hmmm, maybe it's just my old eyes, but I don't think I spotted a Tucker on the list anywhere. Since momma says my breath sometimes smells like fish I guess I should have one named after me!
Oh dear darling,,, I feel your pain....rest up( play it up for awhile as well you will get more food and treats that way) We are all better computer wise and are catching up on everything we have missed and Arch said it he is really happy all the babies are ok cuz he was really nervous..Love A+A
Oh dear cousin Katie you do look a little pale and your dark puppy hairs on your earses- where are they? Did they turn white overnight? Or did the vet steal 'em? Mama needs to give him a good telling off. But awww Katie you look all grown up and super square and pretty. Nephew Bertie will be swoooing!
I was wagging to see how well Nurse Lacie is looking after you and keeping your strength up. Now you do have plenty of treats don't you? And nice choice of furniture to chow down and plenty of shoes? Go for their bestest ones. That will take your mind off your poorly belly.
Tell Mama and Butchy they've done a smashing job raising all the cute baby koi. Haaa!!! I love how every koi looks like it's name sake. I'm well wired about my fab Eric fishie! A million squillion square thank you's!!! Can't wait to set my mince pies on Eric Fish!!

Goodness! This is what happens when Moma lets (makes) us get this far behind on our blog. (SHAME ON HER!) We just discovered the koi who swim about now with our names. It makes us feel VERY PROUD and very flattered to share the honor with Jake of Florida (he IS the Jake of Florida, you know! The one and only. Now there is a Jake of Colorado AND a Jake of Iowa, too! And Miss Fergi? Well. She's blushing. Sort of like her koi pal.
We're hoping that by now Katie is feeling MUCH better and is nearly all healed up. She is such a brave girl and a cutie pie, too. Of course! She was cute from the moment she was born!
