Happy News & A Happy New Year To All!

Hey Pals,

Mama hasn't helped me blog for several days cause she has been berrrrrry busy. Yep, she's been trainin'. Trainin' what you ask?? Well...............................Hootie. She started out training her to come into the back door inside of the washroom. Then she was training her to walk inside of a crate for transporting. See, Hootie needed to get spayed before she goes into heat. We didn't want any ol' tom cats hanging around Hootie outside & getting her pregnant. Outdoor cats living in Iowa go into heat as early as the beginning of February. So we needed to hurry up and get her fixed.

But Hootie had other plans. She's a sneaky little kitty. We already knew that Hootie DID NOT like snow. And she really doesn't like the below freezing temperatures here in Iowa either.

So, after two days of training, Hootie decided she did not want to live outdoors. Nope, no way, won't do it. Mama couldn't get her to stay outside for nothing. So, softie Papa said 'I guess Hootie is an indoor cat!' Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I now have another kitty sissy. Mama told Papa he can't change his mind & made the appointment for Hootie to get spayed. Little Hootie went yesterday for her surgery & got to come home late afternoon. She's doing just fine! Here are some pics of her & one that shows her surgery scar.

Hootie is about 7-8 months old going by her teeth. So she was probably born last May-June. She is even smaller then Mama thought. She only weighs 4 1/2 lbs. So she's much smaller then Ruby. Ruby is only 6 lbs.

'I knew I could talk them into letting me live inside of that warm house!'

So now I don't get to play with Hootie outside anymore....

But that's ok, cause we're already wrasslin' in the house, well, in the washroom. She's still scared to check out the rest of the house yet. It will probably take her a few weeks like it did the other cats to check things out & feel more comfortable.

Hmmmm, maybe I can teach Hootie how to play fetch. The other cats won't do it.

We hope everyone has a Happy & Healthy New Year!

JINGLE BELLS!

Hey Pals,

I just have to show you my new jingle bell collar that Jake & Fergi sent to me. I just luv it!

I romp all over the house with it on & I don't mind the jingle noises at all. Mama likes hearing it too. Sounds like I'm pulling a sleigh or something, hehehe!

We would like to thank everyone for the wonderful Christmas cards you have sent to us!

(see Eric, even the wheelies get on the Christmas cards, tee hee!)

Merry Christmas to all!

SNOW & MORE SNOW!

Hey Pals,

Ruby was watching out the window & purred for us to come look, MORE SNOW is falling!

Oooooh, this is not good. I need to hurry up and start my airplane. I'm going to pick up some of my pals so they can stay here for the week. See their Mama's are leaving them for the holidays, so my Mama said they could all come here for a snow pawty. Yep, Jake & Fergi, Gussie & Teka & if anyone else wants to come here, call me on my cell phone PAW-WOOF.

Check out my snow skis for landing the plane:

We already have at least 2 inches of new snow. Hootie was not impressed. She doesn't want to come out of the garage. So I went out to make a paw print path for her so she can potty.

She actually used it, walked about 3 feet out from the garage door & did her business, then she hopped right back into the garage to clean her tootsies.

Since we're positive she is less then one year old, this is her first Iowa winter. I told her she better get used to it, tee hee. At least she already has her claws for cleats! She will need them here.

I better take off. Have the hot carob ready for us when we get back Mama.

IT'S WHEELY WEDNESDAY!

Hey Pals,

Not much going on around here. We still have tons of snow with below zero temperatures. Not too fun for walkies outdoors. Then the stoooopid internet service was out today. Big time bummer!

Mama still cries a lot cause she misses Angel Snickers soooooo much! I even miss her. I've tried to get the kitties to play fetch with me, but they just don't seem to get the drift of the game. Hmmmmph, maybe I can get the wheelies to play with me.

I want to show you one of our latest wheely kids that we rescued from that giant Ebay place.

Mama said I could name this one, so errrrr, ummmmm, I thought of my honey, tee hee.......Fergi! Yep, I named her Fergi.

Mama has cleaned her up, but still needs to fix her tail so it stands up. This wheely kid was made by Nylena.

Now check out these next 2 photos, this is what Fergi looked like when she arrived, all matted & dirty.

Wheely Fergi looks so much better after Mama gave her a special Spa Day. I even treated her to some of Lacie's special smoothies.

I'm going to try to teach Fergi to play fetch with me now. Wish me luck!

Black & Decker FLEX Vac

Hey Pals,

I wanted to show you this cool mini vac that we received. It's the 'Black & Decker FLEX Cordless Mini Canister Vac'.

It's way cool. Mama really likes using it to vacuum the wooden stairs because it is so light weight & cordless. It has a 4 foot hose, pet hair cleaning tool (which works really well on cat hair), 2-in-1 nozzle brush, and a long crevice tool. The 2-in-1 nozzle brush is what Mama uses on the stairs.

Did I mention it's bagless too? No bags to buy. You just open the door & empty the dust container. The filters are even washable. This vac comes with a 2 year Home Use Warranty.

To learn more about this mini vac, please visit this link: Black & Decker FLEX

If you decide to purchase one of the FLEX vacs, be sure to use this code they gave us for you to receive a FREE Power Brush Attachment with your purchase: FLX849

This vac is especially handy for Mama since she has arthritis in her hands because it is light weight & small. Thanks Black & Decker!

CRAWLING OUT FROM THE SNOW

Hey Pals,

Well we're finally crawling out from the snow that fell here. We had over 14 inches at our house. Papa needs to shovel some more walkways for me. The farmer plowed out our long driveway so at least Mama can walk me on that, but I like to go all over our land.

Some critters finally decided to crawl out today, so Mama took some pictures to share:

The birds & turkeys are eating the berries on our honeysuckle bushes.

Now for some reason Mama thinks this picture of me is funny.....hmmmmmph!

WIREY QUILT!

Hey Pals,

We just have to share this booootiful quilt that was made for us. It's our Angel Snickers:

The first photo shows the fabric pattern detail best.

This photo shows off the quilt stitching detail.

The members of a wonderful group of fox terrier owners had it made for us by Helen Hart. Helen quilts all kinds of things, even from photos. If you would like to view some of her work, please visit this link: Helen's Quilts

We will treasure this forever!

WHO?? WHO?? Who's in our garage?

Hey Pals,

Me & the kitties found out that Papa is renting out our garage to someone. Mama even gave this someone a can of tuna for a Thanksgiving meal. What's up with that?? She doesn't give us tuna. How come???

So WHO do you think is in our garage??

It's HOOTIE!

Mama thinks his face looks like a grey owl, so she's calling him Hootie! hehehehe!

Just look at that silly face. Papa found out that Hootie has been sleeping in our garage for quite some time now. So Mama said Hootie could stay out there as long as he keeps the mice out of her car. Those vermin keep destroying her car.

But NOW, one of the other wild cats that we have seen around lately decided to come eat the food that Mama had out for Hootie. He looks just like our SCUBY! So now she has to watch & make sure that Hootie gets some of the food. He is pretty small, barely bigger then our little Ruby. Ruby isn't quite 6 lbs.

Hmmmm, how many more wild cats will show up for food??? Geesh, what do they think it is around here, a smorgasbord???
