Hey Pals,

Seems these strange creatures like to roam in our yard at night. Mama was not happy though, some of the bucks rubbed their racks on a few tree trunks & tore the bark off and that was even having the trunks wrapped with fence wire. They'll be sorry when it's muzzleload gun hunting season for Mama, hehehehehe! (she never misses either!)

SNICKERS HAS SINUS INFECTION

Hey Pals,



It's me Nurse Wheely Stanley, hehehehe! Well, I'm not exactly a nurse. I found these nurse scrubs laying around so I thought I should put them on to play the part of being a nurse.

Snickers went to the dogtor on Wednesday for her normal Thyroid Blood tests and Mama told the dogtor about Snickers' allergy sneezing episodes she's been having lately. Mama has been cleaning these icky boogie things out of Snickers' nose too. They have been picking the corn & soybean fields out here by us which creates a TON of dust & particles flying around in the air.

Anyhoo, Mama had the dogtor check out Snickers' lungs real well, etc. and they discovered she is running a fever. Her lungs are just fine, but the fever means she has Sinus Infection from her allergies. So more $$$$ down the drain. Snickers is on an antibiotic for 5 days to kill this infection. We thought her pills were treats cause they look like red M&M candies.

So Butchy & I figured we better help nurse Snickers back to health to help out Mama. Mama has been so busy getting her new project up & ready to go. Yep, she's still sewing & creating things. It's called: TEDDY BEAR FACELIFTS She repairs & restores antique mohair teddy bears, dogs, etc. Plus she makes new teddy bears from mohair (remember Clone Clacie? & Brownie? & Scruffy II???) & is going to sell those also along with buying sickly teddy bears that need nursing. She repairs them and then resells them. You should see the loft, it's covered with bears & animals everywhere. Us wheelies might have to revolt against all of these teddy bears laying around here, hehehehe!

Butchy decided to pull out Snickers' nursing scrubs to play his part:

Gussie is on his way here in his Gussiemobile all the way from Mayemphis to help us with Snickers. We're going to make her some chicken soup with her Rubber Chicken that Lacie sent her. We were going to have the stuffies cook it on their antique stove, but the chicken is way too big to fit in the pots. So we'll be using Mama's big stove to make soup.

We better get cookin', Gussie should be here any minute. Oh yeah, did you notice Snickers' clock above is still ticking??? We're so excited. Plus we have her totally off of the Pheno-barbie-dol medication, she's only on the Potassium Bromide & her nasty drug side effects are going away. Her legs are much better, she can go up & down the stairs again, and she can jump up onto the big bed. Her excessive urination is slowing way down & she's not drinking quite as much water either. We sure hope the clock doesn't stop!

NATIONAL FERAL CAT DAY 16OCT2009

Hey Pals,


It's me Sylvester. I wanted to make sure that everyone knows today is NATIONAL FERAL CAT DAY! Can you believe that one year ago this was me:


As you can see, I was once a FERAL CAT, along with my sissies Ruby & Scuby. We're so happy that Mama, Papa, Butchy & Snickers adopted us & let us into their home. Next Friday, October 23rd is my actual GOTCHA DAY. I can hardly believe I have lived indoors for one whole year now. This is purrrrrsome!

We wanted to give you the link to the WAVERLY PET RESCUE PETFINDER SITE. Waverly is only about 5 miles from us. This rescue is totally run by volunteers at this point.

Donations are still needed so that a building can be purchased to house the animals currently all in foster homes. If you live near this area, have the love, time & funds to devote to a pet, please consider adopting a cat or dog from them.

If you already have a home full of pets & can't adopt, please consider fostering a pet or giving a donation to this rescue. They are a NO-KILL rescue operation.

CLEAN+GREEN PRODUCT REVIEW

Hey Pals,

We have a new product to review for you. We were given a free sample of CLEAN+GREEN's CAT - Litter Box Odor Eliminator and Cleaner. So we let Sylvester, Ruby & Scuby stink up their litter boxes so Mama could test the cleaner.

Usually Mama cleans the 3 litter boxes out 3 times per day, but she let them fill up for one whole day to give the cleaner a good test. She put one big spray of the Odor Eliminator into each litter box & all of the smells vanished immediately! No smelly spray smell either. This product is easy on the environment and easy to use. Mama is very picky about what she uses in the house for cleaners, etc. because she has many allergies & has chemical sensitivities. We must say we are very pleased with this product.

COOKING WITH STUFFIES

Hey Pals,

This is the Stuffie Cooking Crew speaking. Butchy, Snickers, the cats & some of their pals are still sleeping off all of the food they ate at Butchy's birfday pawty yesterday. Plus the boys were all playing Paws Down Poker all night long! So we thought we would show you what we did all day Sunday getting ready for the pawty.

We decided to bake Butchy's birfday cakes for him. Since all of his pals were coming here, we figured we best make mini-cakes & HUNDREDS of them!

Here we are at our own little stove:

Here Snickers II is popping 2 of them into the oven. Yep, we can only cook 2 at a time, so it took us ALL day to bake the cakes.


How do you like our own pots & pans?? Just the right size for us stuffies.


Our antique stove is a Marvel, made in the very very early 1900's. It actually works. Many of these antique stoves are actually salesman samples used to advertise their brand of stove. Some were given to customers when they bought a new stove.

The cakes are oatmeal flavor & we put peanut butter frosting on top of them. Errrr, at least they did have peanut butter frosting, until Lacie arrived at the pawty. Seems she has a thing for frosting & went around licking all of it off of the cakes!

Oh yeah, better show the mud wrestlin' pit to ya:


Gosh, we never knew that terriers could have so much fun in the mud! Papa had to DRAG some of the pawtiers out of the mud. They just couldn't get enough of that stuff, hehehehe!

We better get back to washing our cake pans. We only have about 50 left to go. Butchy will post some more pawty pics tomorrow.
