BABY DEER!

Hey Pals,

Remember Janie???


Most of you know she lost her sister Zuzu a few weeks ago to polio. Well, her new sissies have arrived at her home. Mama & Papa went to visit them this past Sunday. So here are some pictures of the little squirts.

This is sissie Bailey, her ear tag number is 910. Bailey is more timid then her sissie Zuzu.



This is sissie Zuzu, ear tag number 911. And yes, they named another one Zuzu, hehehee! (and everyone thought it was kind of funny that her ear tag is 911 !! Mama thought they should write the word DIAL above the numbers on the tag!! )

They were born on May 30, 2009, so they are about 2 months old now. Janie is now 1 yr. & 6 weeks old.

Mama will surely have her hands full when she babysits the deer this summer. They all like to lick your legs & arms too, hehehee!

Tiny update on Snickers: It has been 15 days now since the last round of seizures, so things are looking up for this drug preventing them. She does have one of the drug side effects now though, the weak back legs. Mama makes her go really slow up and down stair steps so that she doesn't fall. Mama keeps the leash hooked to Snickers so that when she stumbles, Mama keeps her up in the air so she doesn't fall down the steps. This procedure seems to be working well.

SNICKERS BIRTHDAY PICTURES!

Hey Pals,

Boy did we ever have fun at Snickers' birthday pawty. Thanks again to everyone that sent birthday wishes, cards & prezzies!! We have a few pictures from the pawty with Snickers & her cake that Sylvester & Scuby made for her.

See, Mama told me I must wear a pawty hat on my birthday!


Check out this very yummy cake! It has carob, cinnamon, orange peel and oats inside. For topping, Mama spreads peanut butter onto each slice!


I pretended to blow out my candles after I made my wish. It was too windy to actually light the candles. Mama didn't want my fur to catch on fire. ( I didn't even spit onto the cake either. )


Mmmmmm, ok, it's cake time!

Hah, Mama's not looking, I'm going to snag this thing.....

HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY SNICKERS!!!

Happy Birthday to our little wirey girl Snickers! She is now 7 years old. We can hardly believe that she is this old already. Seems like just yesterday we were picking her up from the breeder:

SYLVESTER SUNDAY!

Hey Pals,

It's me Sylvester. I have something to prrrrrrrrr about today. Yep, well tomorrow you know it's Snickers' 7th birthday so I decided that I wanted to make her birthday cake. I told Scuby that she could help me out.

First we got out the cake mix, pans & ingredients. The cake mix is from the BarkTalk site. We won one of their Paw-ty In A Box prizes that they gave away.


Scuby helped put the milk, eggs & honey into the bowl with the bag of cake mix.


Here's the bone pan Sylvester, be sure to spray the pan inside first before you put the batter into it.


Hmmm, let's see, I better give this a taste to see if we mixed it right.



Nymmm, nymmm, nymmm, nymmm, better mix it some more. (can you see my tongue?? hehehe!)


Better make sure we got all of the ingredients right first.

Boy, this stirring is harder than I thought. It's hard to hold this darn spoon to stir.


Ok, batter is ready for the pan. Will you pour it please Mama??


Mama told me I better practice wearing a pawty hat for the pawty tomorrow. How's this???


Ok, my job is done. Good thing Snickers was napping, this way she doesn't know we made her a cake.
