IT'S WHEELY WEDNESDAY!

Hey Pals,

It's me Dr. Pierre. Can you believe we have another patient here at the Snitchybug Dog Hospital??? The wheelies have been giving me lots of guff cause I've been on my cell phone a lot lately, even speaking in French. I've been talking with some people up in Canada. My wheely friend Bea Sally over at the Secret Schnoodle has been helping out with some of these calls too.

Remember in one of our last Wheely posts I found something sticking out from under the rug in the hospital room?? Well, I grabbed the little white tuft of hair & out popped Brownie!

And who is Brownie you ask??? heheheheh, it's a very long story. You see, Brownie is one of Brody's siblings. (Brody from the Secret Schnoodle) Brownie decided to run away from home due to the abuse he was suffering. He could no longer put up with the cruelty and set out to find his brother Brody.

From searching the web he found all of the dog blogs & stumbled upon Butchy & Snickers blog talking about having some Poodle friends. He thought that maybe Butchy & Snickers could help him find his brother Brody. Plus when he read about Dr. Snitchybug's miraculous surgeries, he knew he needed to find the doc. Brownie was suffering from malnutrition for one thing, and was in pretty sad shape. So he set out on his quest.

It was a long journey from Canada down to Iowa. Brownie had to trek through mountains of snow & suffer the burning sun rays. After 2 long weeks, Brownie arrived at the Snitchybug Dog Hospital. He was so worn out & could barely woof, so he crawled under the rug to rest. And that's where I found Brownie.

Poor Brownie was immediately checked out by myself & Dr. Snitchybug. He is soooooo skinny, no wonder he could hide under the rug. His paws are raw from climbing the mountains and walking on black top roads for many miles. He also has burns on his corneas.

We immediately placed black patches over his eyes to help them heal. We treated his paw pads and wrapped them up in gauze. Unfortunately, his nose is pretty scuffed up too. So we had to treat & wrap his nose. We feed him every hour since he is so malnourished.

He seems to be recovering well. Sylvester is studying to become a nurse so I let him check on Brownie each hour.

Sylvester decided he needed some one on one patient skills, so he crawled in bed with Brownie to keep him company.

We'll have an update for you next week on his progress.

Now yesterday, Snickers went to the vet to have the vetpire remove her blood for lots of tests. One big test was sent off to a special lab. The results will be back either this Friday or Saturday. If the results are normal, Snickers will start on the additional anti-seizure drug Potassium Bromide sometime next week. The drug is liquid form & needs to be made at a compounding pharmacy for her exact weight. So it takes a few days to get the drug to our vet. Once it arrives, then she will start the daily dosage. It generally takes 4-6 weeks for the drug to get to the correct level into the bloodstream. Then the process of waiting begins to see if she has anymore seizures. The drug might need to be adjusted a few times. But the vet is confident that this additional drug should keep Snickers from having anymore seizures. So now it's just a waiting game & MAMA HATES WAITING!!! hehehehe! She could get a bit cranky in this waiting process. Hmmmmm, maybe we should borrow some of that purple duct tape that Lacie used on Butchy, tee hee! Gotta get wheelin', Aire Ruby will be here soon to take us to Myrna & Gilbert's wedding!

Dr. Pierre

GARAGEZILLA!!

Hey Pals,
Man, it's been like a circus around here the past week. All last week Mama & Papa were getting things ready for the big GARAGEZILLA! Yep, 2 day garage sale for 12 hours each day. Mama is totally wiped out. That fibro-ma-thingy & aurthur i tis (Fibromyalgia) that Mama has really flares up when she is tired & pooped out. The whole town of Janesville has city wide garage sales each year on a Saturday in April. But us, and two other neighbors down our country road have a big 2 day sale & advertise together in the local papers.

We had 5 family's things stuffed into our 3 stall garage PLUS the whole section in front of the garage was packed full of furniture & things. Friday went really well. The weather got very warm, up to 85 degrees! BUT, we had 35 mile an hour winds all day. Boy that dust really blows from the country roads & farm fields. We needed safety goggles on to protect our poor eyes, hehehe!

Then Friday night it had to storm with lots of hail & lightning. Then it rained off & on all day Saturday and was ONLY 43 degrees! Talk about extremes...... Mama was freezing the whole day sitting out in the garage. Sales weren't as good on Saturday, but we still had a steady stream of people stopping to look at things. Then we woke up on Sunday with storms & NO electricity. What a bummer. We were all tired, so we just lounged around the house all day.

Yesterday I Butchy went to the vet for my yearly shots & heartworm test plus I needed my thyroid blood test taken too. Mama had the vet check my eyes really well cause she was wondering if I have cat & rats starting. Hmmmmph, what the heck is cat & rats??? I'll turn 9 years old this year & I have just a tiny teeny touch of cat & rats starting. The vet said I have nothing to worry about for my age. That's a relief! Next week I go back to the vet & he's going to clean my toofies. All I can say is he better give me some treats afterwards, hehehe.

Tomorrow is Snickers' turn to go to the vet. The vetpire is going to drain her blood for her heartworm test. Then Mama & the vet will decide about starting Snickers on the second seizure drug. Decisions, decisions. We'll update you on what they decide.

Since Mama has been too busy to take any photos of us or the cats, here are some of our flower pictures. This is our pink magnolia tree. The flower buds are finally starting to open:

Mama is anxious for her yellow magnolia tree to bloom. It has only ever bloomed last year & the year before & had only a few buds each year. This year it is filled with flower buds. Here is one starting to pop open:

Here are a few more of our daffodils that are still blooming:

Uh oh, better go. I hear Dr. Snitchenstein calling for some help.

IT'S WHEELY WEDNESDAY!

Hey Pals,

It's Snickers here reporting today. Seems Butchy has purple duct tape wrapped around his mouth so he can't talk. Hmmmmmm, haven't heard the whole story yet.

As many of you know, Captain Butchy was hired to fly his plane to pick up Myrna's bridesmaids and take them to the Wedding Shower they had for her on Saturday.

Everything was just pawfect for the event. In fact, it sounds like they all had a little TOO much fun. Look what they were doing after they ate lunch:

Check out Miss Enid on top of the plane:

She is one crazy wheely girl!! Miss Enid said it was a blast up there, so Josephine & Autumn decided to join her on top of the plane:

Whew! That was a close call with that jet zooming by Butchy's little plane. I did find out why the girls were being so silly & CRAZY for getting on top of Butchy's plane....

This is the culprit:

Be sure to visit Autumn's blog to hear the whole story about the smoothies!! It's a good thing Autumn & Josephine whipped up the shower cake before they tasted any of those smoothies!!

Please visit Fiona's report of the lunch details on Lacy's blog.

Now I'm still trying to figure out why Butchy has PURPLE duct tape around his snout. Well, seems there was some PURPLE bubbles floating around at Maggie & Mitch's house after the shower pawty. And something about a PURPLE LAKIE GIRL????? Go check out Eric's blog details about the incident & read the latest police report about Miss Enid & Butchy!

Hmmmm, hey Mama, how come Miss Enid is here with Butchy & they are hiding under our deck?????

IT'S RAINING, IT'S POURING, THE SEIZURE MONSTER'S ROARING!

Hey Pals,

Well we shouldn't have opened our mouth about how many days it had been since Snickers' last seizures. That bully the Seizure Monster heard us. He had to rear his ugly head again today. Mama was not happy at all. Why can't he just stay away for good??? That's what Snickers would like to know:

Snickers is always a good girl, why does this monster insist on visiting her???

At least we got to guard the koi this morning before it started raining:

Uh oh, I gotta fly, I'm supposed to go pick up the wheelies for Myrna's Shower Pawty today in my airplane, hehehehe!

SPRING IS HERE!

Hey Pals,

We're thinking Spring has finally arrived here in Iowa. Our Daffodils are finally blooming:

Another sign is that the pond water is finally warm enough to start feeding the Koi fishies. Mama has to start them off on little bits of food at first. As the water temperature gets warmer & warmer, the koi can have more & more food. Since they have been basically dormant all winter, their digestive systems start up slowly. So you can't overload them with food right away. We've seen many of the koi already, but not all of them. Some get going slower than others & so they all don't start feeding at the same time.

We can tell you that Koi Lacie & Koi Joey sure are hogging down the food, hehehehe! Mama has been taking photos of the koi. When we go through them, we'll try to post the good ones soon.

Snickers & I have been guarding the koi now when they eat too. Here I am at the fish shack:

Here is Snickers, she has a silly smirk on her face cause there is a leaf caught on her mustache, hehehehe:

She has been doing good, it's been 3 weeks since her last seizures. So we're really happy about that. But sadly, our pal Normy went to the rainbow bridge last Thursday. His seizures got the best of him & his little brain just couldn't take them any longer. Please visit his blog to read the sad story. My Name Is Norman Run happy & free Norman.

THE DOT HAS BEEN INTERCEPTED!!

Hey Pals,

Remember when our pal Joey warned us that Doofus had mailed his DOT to Dr. Snitchenstein???

Well, I, Inspector Butcho intercepted that package at our mailbox the other day.

When I flew Clone Clacie to her new home with Lacie, Scruffy & Stanley, as we flew over Lake Michigan, Clone Clacie threw the envelope out the window of the plane! Hehehehehehe! Sorry Doofus. Your plan was foiled by Joey.

We sure were sad to see Clone Clacie leave us. Here I am giving her a smoochie:

Clone Clacie insisted on jumping out of the plane from the sky, wearing only a parachute on the outside of her box. Luckily, she landed in the street right in front of Lacie's house:

To see her arrival story, click here!

Hmmmm, wonder who will be the next patient at the Snitchybug Clinic? or Dr. Snitchenstein's lab???

Stay tuned, as Dr. Pierre discovered something hiding under the rug in the hospital room, hehehehe!

SYLVESTER SUNDAY OR SNOW SUNDAY??

Hey Pals,

We can't believe what we woke up to this morning. It was snowing, but only a little bit:

See how the trees were still nice & straight?

Not now, we're getting so much heavy wet snow that the branches are all dragging to the ground!

Mama went outside & tried to knock snow off of the bottom branches, but there are over 150 pine trees, she just couldn't do them all.

Us kitties aren't going anywhere near that snow stuff ever again! I Sylvester am staying right here inside of my house:

Scuby decided to come sit by me:

Ruby is playing queen of the hill & sitting on top of Mama's table:

Snickers went outside, but she wanted back in: (and this was before the snow even got deep!)

Butchy likes it out there, he wanted Snickers to wait for him. He said he better make some yellow snow cause this could be the last snow storm of the season!

Ahhhhhhh!

Hmmmmm, wonder if Lacie needs some yellow snow for her smoothies??? hehehehe!

Speaking of Lacie, Clacie & Lacie had their photo taken together, hehehehe!

Sylvester

WHEELY WEDNESDAY & IT'S ALIVE!!!!

Hey Pals,

It's me Cyril here today.

I've been doing lots of reading in my veterinary book and I can't find any information on cloning dogs. Hmmmmph, wonder why??? So how did Dr. Craemer & Dr. Snitchenstein figure out how to clone Lacie???

Remember in our last report about Clone Lacie that she had NO hair??? Well check this out,

here is Dr. Craemer proud as punch with his work:

Dr. Pierre even decided to finally check out Clone Lacie. At first he didn't want anything to do with this cloning business:

He was so excited to see how well the clone was doing that he couldn't even keep his stethoscope on his ears, hehehehe!

Can you believe how much hair has grown???

Dr. Pierre: It's a major breakthrough in the world of wheely & stuffie cloning. The wheely kids here are so excited! The news has already spread around the globe.

As you can see, Clone Lacie is still comatose & needs some face work done. That's why her nose is still wrapped. Her eyes are not open yet either. She also needs to gain some more weight. She's pretty skinny right now.

The wheely kids have been spoon feeding her non-stop. They emptied the frigeator & pantry. Mama was horrified when she found everything missing.

Oh my dog, I don't believe it...........

IT'S ALIVE!!!

Due to technical difficulties, we have lost our live feed. We'll be back on the air soon.

Wheely Hugs,
Cyril
