SEIZURE MONSTER STRIKES AGAIN & IT'S WHEELY WEDNESDAY!

Hey Pals,

It's me Max reporting today for Wheely Wednesday. Our top story:

NASTY SEIZURE MONSTER strikes again. Poor Snickers had several seizures this morning. Mama is very worried about her. The seizures are striking closer & closer together. Since increasing her Pheno-Barbie-Doll medication, the seizures are shorter & instead of having 4 cluster seizures each time, she is only have two seizures. Not very comforting though. So in a few weeks, Mama will have to make the decision of whether to put Snickers on the additional medication - Potassium Bromide. It generally takes 3-4 months for the drug to take full effect in the body, so loading doses might be necessary at the start to get the drug into her system faster. The good news is that this drug does not affect the liver. Another good point is that the dosage of Phenobarbital could be decreased a bit. We'll keep you posted. Snickers is having a nappy right now on the big bed.

Now for the fun exciting story of the week:

WHEELY SECRET UPDATE

As many of you know, the Wheely Kids have been up to something with Dr. Snitchenstein & Dr. Craemer. Last week Snickers & I kept finding containers like this in the frigeator:

Hmmmmm, what do you think it is???

Well, 2 of our pals have guessed correctly what has been going on. Yep, Joey & Duffus Tanner thought maybe there is a clone of Lacie being grown, hehehehehe!

Little did everyone know that Lacie has been fooling them with her diah-rear stories. Seems she had been taking a bit too much of those Ex-Lax pills to try to lose weight. She has been wanting to lose weight so she can become a super terrier model. Here is some evidence of her walking down a runway:

Just look at that skinny girl! While Lacie was at the vette, she actually had some liposuction surgery done. Plus then she needed some nip & tuck surgeries. So the Wheely Kids snuck into the vette's office & stole some of the DNA from the fat, ewwwwhhhh! Then they found her skin remnants from the plastic surgery & stole that too! They wheeled it home as fast as their rusty wheels could go & brought everything to Dr. Snitchenstein.

They begged Dr. Snitchenstein to create a clone of Lacie. So she agreed. Right now CLONE LACIE is almost fully developed. Now, don't be alarmed when you see the following pictures. CLONE LACIE still doesn't have any hair on her body. It's just bare skin.

Here is Dr. Craemer with the patient. As you can see, CLONE LACIE is still on a ventilator too.

Dr. Craemer has to run the ventilator by paw. He sure is getting a workout doing this too!

CLONE LACIE's lungs are filling up nicely.

Dr. Craemer sits with her night & day.

Dr. Craemer hopes that he & Dr. Snitchenstein will win some kind of science prize.

Butchy & Snickers think they will both lose their doctor's licenses, hehehehe! Stay tuned for the next news update. Our sources have informed us about a possible powker pawty to announce the unveiling of CLONE LACIE!

This is Reporter Max signing off.

Wheely Hugs,
Max
PS Seizure update: Snickers had another seizure at 5:10PM tonight. Please keep her in your prayers.

R.I.P. KOI COOKIE

Hey Pals,

Mama is sad today. Some vermin stole Koi Cookie out of the pond during the night. Left her poor limp dead body to be eaten by the crows. Cookie was Mama's very first koi. She was at least 7 years old. The white scars on her head are where she survived two Great Blue Heron attacks in the last several years.

Cookie was a Mama to many of the koi in our pond. She was almost 2 feet long and probably weighed about 5 lbs. We were just starting to see the koi slowly swimming around in the ponds this week too. Here is a picture of Cookie when she was only a couple of years old swimming with the other koi:

Snickers and I have been on Koi Guard Duty this week. But we don't have anyone to cover the night shift. That's when Cookie was taken out of the pond.

Does anyone want a night job??

Inspector Butcho needs to get out the camcorder and see if he can capture the villan on film. If Mama ever gets a hold of the culprit, they're dead meat!!!

In this picture you can see some color spots in the water. That's the koi deep down swimming around.

Once the water gets warm, they will come up to the surface to swim. Mama checked the thermometer in the pond and the water at the bottom is still only 39 degrees, yikes! We better get back to guard duty.

COOL PET INVENTIONS

Hey Pals,

Have your hoomans ever thought up a cool pet toy or pet product that they would love to invent? Well we've found the pawfect place to check out new pet inventions. It's called InventionHome.com

They help new inventors develop, protect and market product ideas for the purposes of licensing. Have you ever heard of the Chilly Bone? If so, they were the folks who invented it and turned it into a multi-million dollar product line.

Check out the new invention for this week:
“Protect-A-Pet”. Independent inventor Charles Ayscue enlisted the help of InventionHome to assist him in finding marketing/licensing opportunities for his patented invention, "Protect-A-Pet".

Do you enjoy walking your pet in the evening, but due to lack of lighting you fear for the safety of your four-legged companion?

Independent inventor, Charles Ayscue saw this as a problem, and he decided that he could fix it, so he began his work on the “Protect-A-Pet”!

Do you already have a finished product that you would like to sell?

Then you should visit MatchProduct.com It is a free, new website for folks with innovative, finished products. If you happen to have a garage filled with dog toys you invented and tried to sell with little luck, you may want to post it on their site. The site is free and easy to use and as a seller you decide the type of transaction that makes sense for you. So if you're open to selling or licensing that special dog toy you invented why not check out MatchProduct.com

Each week we will be posting a new invention to show you. Maybe it will spark some creative ideas in your hoomans head.

SPRING CLEANING & WHEELY MADNESS!

Hey Pals,

We had a busy day yesterday. It was nice outside so Snickers and I got to be out on the deck while Mama and Papa did some Spring cleaning.

Here is Snickers as her fuzzy self:

And here is her fuzzy butt, hehehehe!

Here I am drooling cause I can smell the hamboogies cooking on the grill.

Since it's starting to get nice outdoors, Mama told Papa they better get the Spring cleaning done inside of the house. Since we have such tall ceilings, Mama starts way at the top for cleaning. Of course she needs the giant ladder to reach things.

Mama cleans the huge top windows first.

Plus she cleans the ceiling fans and skylights and also nabs all of the spider webs she can see on the wood ceilings and beams.

That's a long way up to the top, yikes!

The chandelier is hard to clean cause it starts to turn and spin while you dust it and it's VERY heavy.

Oh my, what's that in the air??? A duck?? How did a duck get in our house???

Look, there's two of them, a male and female, hehehehe!

These are Mama and Papa's ducks. An artist carved them out of wood, then made molds and the resin replicas are made and hand painted.

They are 'Wood Ducks'. Just like the kind that we get here outside. This is the male:

Other side of male:

This is the female. Mama used heavy duty fishing line to hang them from the ceiling.

They've been flyin' around here for about a year now. Sure hope the cats don't try to hop on them, tee hee!

Now to the exciting stuff around here. Yep, those Wheelies have been up so something for a while now. We're just finding out little tidbits here and there of what's up.

First of all, Dr. Snitchybug has another side to her. At night, she turns into Dr. SNITCHENSTEIN ! How do we know?? Well, we've been tempting Dr. Pierre with doggie biscuits each night and he finally fessed up. He got mad cause Dr. SNITCHENSTEIN has another doctor assistant and his name is Dr. Craemer. Dr. Craemer is 70 some years old. Here's what he looks like:

Dr. Pierre took these photos to show us that something is going on at night time around here while everyone is sleeping.

First he found this syringe filled with something, he doesn't know what it is though.

Uh oh, then Dr. Snitchenstein came into the room and emptied the syringe contents into this container of liquid. Hmmmm, wonder what it is???

Next he followed her to the laboratory and the container was placed under some special lights.

Dr. Pierre got kind of scared now, cause Dr. Craemer came into the lab. The lights were adjusted and Dr. Pierre thought maybe Dr. Craemer spotted him. But the lights were changed so that Dr. Craemer could go up to the container. He had a bottle with secret ingredients inside of it. Then he poured the contents into the liquid. Look what happened to the color??

Looks kind of creepy. Hmmmmm, wonder what it is???

Can you guess what's inside of the liquid??? In a few more days we'll have some more evidence from Dr. Pierre. Sly Sylvester told us he thinks he heard some wheelies saying it has something to do with LACIE! Har, har, har, har, har! So, let's see if anyone can guess what it is okay??

COMPUTER BLUES

Hey Pals,
Sorry we've been gone so many days, but we started having puter troubles when the snow melted and rains came then frost coming up out of the ground. Those darn phone lines get wet then the internet connection goes haywire. So we had to deal with that for days, then yesterday the puter got sick. Mama worked for at least 5 hours on it, thought it was ok, then it crapped out again. So she was up until 12:30 fixing it. Seems to be working fine now. We'll have our regular post up tonight hopefully. So stay tuned, the wheelies are up to something, hehehehe!

SEIZURES, VOTE FOR ZAZOO & RUBY TUESDAY!

Hey Pals,

It's me Ruby. You know, the cat that escaped that nasty hawk last night, hehehe. First I wanted to tell you that poor Snickers had several seizures again today. That mean Seizure Monster just won't leave her alone. Mama was walking her outside and all of a sudden her front leg started flinging around in the air paddling. Mama knew right away what was going on. Of course they were half way across the land, so Mama had to carry Snickers quite a distance to get her back into the house. She seems to be ok now, but is very tired like normal after having seizures. So Mama put Snickers' pajamas on her and put her to bed. You can tell she doesn't feel too great...

Mama wants her to stay nice and calm tonight so that she doesn't have anymore seizures. She should be feeling much better tomorrow.

Now we have something very important to tell you about. Meet ZAZOO!!

Zazoo is a Wire Fox Terrier currently in rescue. He was a stray found in Chicago. Zazoo is almost blind and needed to have several eye surgeries. His foster Mom made sure that he got these surgeries. Now Zazoo has been entered in the Bisell MVP Pet Contest. Voting is only for this week March 10 - 17th. PLEASE help spread the word and go vote for Zazoo. This is a chance to help AFTR American Fox Terrier Rescue. Grand Prize winners are chosen from weekly winners. Prizes include donations to winner's Rescue in amounts of $10,000 , $5,000 , and $1,000. Only one entry per email address is allowed during the voting period. Please click on the picture below and you will be taken to the voting page. Thanks for helping out Rescue!!!

Ok, now Mama thinks she came up with a solution so that the mean Hawk won't try to grab me when I sit and watch out the windows.

Tadahhhhhhh.......

Yep, she put clothes on me!! These are some clothes she made for small dogs, but they fit me. Why would a hawk want to nab a cat wearing clothes right???

Here is my new shirt....

I actually like wearing clothes. Maybe Snickers will share her wardrobe with me, ya think?? Hmmmmm, what can I have Mama make for me next, better think on it.

Purrs & Licks,
Ruby
