WHO?? WHO?? Who's in our garage?

Hey Pals,

Me & the kitties found out that Papa is renting out our garage to someone. Mama even gave this someone a can of tuna for a Thanksgiving meal. What's up with that?? She doesn't give us tuna. How come???

So WHO do you think is in our garage??

It's HOOTIE!

Mama thinks his face looks like a grey owl, so she's calling him Hootie! hehehehe!

Just look at that silly face. Papa found out that Hootie has been sleeping in our garage for quite some time now. So Mama said Hootie could stay out there as long as he keeps the mice out of her car. Those vermin keep destroying her car.

But NOW, one of the other wild cats that we have seen around lately decided to come eat the food that Mama had out for Hootie. He looks just like our SCUBY! So now she has to watch & make sure that Hootie gets some of the food. He is pretty small, barely bigger then our little Ruby. Ruby isn't quite 6 lbs.

Hmmmm, how many more wild cats will show up for food??? Geesh, what do they think it is around here, a smorgasbord???

Butchy, Ruby, Sylvester & Scuby

You think you've seen a wild cat? Ha! You haven't seen an Airedale wild for a cat yet!!
We would take care of Hootie, don't you worry about that...and we would have the tuna all to ourselves, thank you very much...

wooooooo...Hootie may need a room in the basement? Or maybe your Dad could smallen the garage entry that hootie uses so it is too small for other catses, and he (hootie, not your dad) could eat in the garage.

But Muzzer says lots of catses can get through really small holes, so that might not work.

We hope y'all can work it out, or maybe you can charge them a mouse each before they get any tuna.

Hootie looks really cute. Is he warming up to y'all? Maybe someone is sending you a special friend to keep you from dwelling on your past sad experiences. Could he join your family?

I bet those wild cats are enjoying that feast. It's good to fill up on tuna rather than feasting on poor wild birds (CC-man agrees).

Butchy...aren't you starting to feel a bit outnumbered!!! I think Hootie is very cute looking and as long as he's doing his job you should keep him around!

We're thinking the wild kitties can smell a good home for miles and come to your house when they get cold and hungry!

I am afraid that smorgasboard in your garage is exactly what the wild cats are thinking. I hope that you can work it out so Hootie can get enough to eat.

Watch out. Don't want the garage turning into a cat house full of loose felines with low moral values.

What a nice Thanksgiving treat for Hootie! He does kind look like an owl!

Watch out you may want to catch them and have them spayed and neutered - those wild cats are like rabbits in that area.

Aww, I think Hootie has such a sweet face! I bet that Tuna was a perfect feast for him!

You guys are always so sweet to help all the animals you can.

Oh Hootie is a Cutie (love that it rhymes too!) but are you SURE he is a boy? It looks like he could have some white, gray and peachy colors which would make me think maybe Hootie is a girl (the pics are cute but since he is a feral I know it is hard to get a close up but I swear I see all three). I agree that if it is possible you might want to see if there is a trap/spay-neuter/release group in the area that could help you trap him and get him fixed - I suggest the group because they would have the proper traps and pay for the neuter.

Six pounds???? That's so tiny! We're glad Hootie (perfect name!) found you and your garage. And we hope can continue to get the food and shelter that you are giving him, without bringing a bunch of others to your doorstep. Seeing him really brings home the understanding of feral. (That's how I was described when I was rescued.) Maybe someday he'll let you approach him. In the meantime, he appears to have found safety and even a bit of love.

You guys are wonderful. (Moma'd probably do the same thing here, but we NEVER see kitties outside. They wouldn't survive.)

Love

Hootie is a cutie! And if he helps out with those mice then he is quite welcome. Our Dad had mice ruin his car one winter and oh that smell:(

Happy weekend, the OP Pack

D would do the same - Hootie looks very cute - that is very sweet that you feed him - plus if he earns his keep and keeps your car mouse free - bonus!

Hootie does look like a very fluffy owl. He's so lucky to be your guest and get some yummy treats.

Mama also took in some kitties here in our world and we have learned to live with them.

Have a good weekend there.
