We have been very busy helping Mama with the hostas & gardens around here. Today it poured rain like crazy, so we finally got some pictures ready to post. First here is one of our favorite hostas. They grow very very big! This one is right outside of our back door.

This is behind our house & it is the hosta bed that Mama & Papa just put in:

The edging still hasn't been put in to hold the rocks, but it won't take long to do that part.

Here are some closer pictures of some of the hostas:

Sylvester likes to sit in the bedroom window so he can watch Mama working:

This picture shows between the house & garage from the back side:

Most of these plants have been in since last year, but some more were moved in this year, plus others were divided & bushes trimmed, etc. Plus TONS of weeds were removed, hehehehe. Those darn things seem to always pop up.
The poor dwarf willow tree in the photo took a hard hit from this past winter. It's not doing very well. It might need to be removed in the fall.Mama has so many hostas & daylilies that she divides them all of the time & moves more into other areas.

The wrens have already built a nest in the bird house in the tree. Wrens are pretty tolerant of humans being around their nests.

This view is from the front of the garage & house looking to the back:

Hmmmmm, does Gussie & Muzzer remember this lizard??? hehehehe!

Here is one of Mama's veggie gardens she put in this year:

Can you believe the deer already had to walk in it?? and it's right below the sunroom. Mama was NOT happy.
Here is part of the other garden. It already has a fence around it, but still needs small hole fencing added to the bottom to keep pesky rabbits out.

Here is that whole garden:

Now you know why Mama can hardly move her body, tee hee! Between the arthur itis and fibromyalgia, she is one sorry looking human, and just think, she isn't even 50 years old yet!!! Hahahaha, don't tell her we told you though.
Snickers has been doing ok the last several days. She was very very tired for several days after the seizures. But seems to be ok now. Paws crossed that Seizure Monster doesn't appear again.
Uh oh, do we smell pizza??? Mmmmmmm, think we better go beg for some pizza crust!

Your Mom sure has been busy. I haven't touched the garden yet this year and I don't have any health problems to bother me. I hope that Snickers is feeling better. {{{Hugs}}}
Your yard is just beautiful! There was a time when mom wasn't too fond of hosta because she thought they were boring but she has since changed her mind and now she has planted quite a few of them in our yard!
Enjoy your pizza crust! We both had the same thing for dindin!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Your hostas are much bigger than ours. We have lots of stuffs in our flower beds, but I don't know what they are.
Difficult to keep rabbits out of the garden. I think they can shape shift to get through small places.
I am keeping my paws crossed for Miss Snickers to continue to feel better.

Hi there! We saw you in Tuck's blogroll and were intrigued by the post title. We're Gardening Cats too, you know. : ) Wonderful Hostas, they're mom's favourite shade plants. We think they are fun to hide under!
Nice to meet you!
Purrs, Siena & Chilli
we love the way the hosta garden is looking, and we are glad that the lizard has not been eaten by one of those nasty old birds.
Glad to hear that Miss S. is feeling a little better, sure enjoyed basking in the sun with her while Butcho fetched and carried. hehe
That's great news that Snickers has put the Seizure Monster back in his place - away and asleep. We're hoping he's totally GONE one of these days!
Your hosta garden - your whole PROPERTY! - is beautiful! It looks like you've got a lot of land to run around on! Great bunny chasing territory! Do they eat the hosta?
Oops! Gotta go out! NOW!

The landscaping and garden are beautiful!! We never heard of hosta before. It is so pretty.
What loverly garden you got there. Your Mama must take care of them really well just like she takes care of you two! They say a well taken cared garden is a happy one. Heehee!

Such a beautiful yard and gardens. There are so many different kinds of hostas, looks like you have a lot of them. And they all look so very healthy.
We really enjoyed the visit.

You have a beaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaautiful garden!! It's simply gorgeous...
Your mom must have green fingers.. unlike our mom cos ours kills most of the plants in our house. LOL!!
**big hugs to Snickers... STAY AWAY, Meanie Seizure MOnster!!**
That's a lot of Hostas! They're really gorgeous too. Our hostas are growing by leaps and bounds also... every morning they look like they've doubled their size since the day before. Glad you two are helping your mom - gardening is hard work.

We're very glad Snickers is feeling better! We hope that seizure monster doesn't show up anymore! You have gorgeous hostas! We have quite a few around the back and one end of our house. We COULD have some on the OTHER end, but our mom is too lazy to separate them!
Aire-hugs,

We LOVE your garden and yard! Mom can't grow a thing and it is so hot here Mom can't figure out what to plant. At least we can look at your pics!!

I have a new blog now - please come visit and meet my new brother if you get a chance. If you would like to link to us, can you please list us as "Sunshine and Mud Puddles"? Thanks!

P.S. I hope that seizure monster is staying away, Snickers. I have had 3 seizures in the last few weeks -- we are going to the vet soon for tests. :(
We really admire your mom for getting all that work done when she has arthritis and fibromyalgia. She is really amazing!!
Thank goodness spring has arrived at last! Your hostas are so healthy looking. I hope this spring brings good health and healing to your family.
