GARAGEZILLA!!

Hey Pals,
Man, it's been like a circus around here the past week. All last week Mama & Papa were getting things ready for the big GARAGEZILLA! Yep, 2 day garage sale for 12 hours each day. Mama is totally wiped out. That fibro-ma-thingy & aurthur i tis (Fibromyalgia) that Mama has really flares up when she is tired & pooped out. The whole town of Janesville has city wide garage sales each year on a Saturday in April. But us, and two other neighbors down our country road have a big 2 day sale & advertise together in the local papers.

We had 5 family's things stuffed into our 3 stall garage PLUS the whole section in front of the garage was packed full of furniture & things. Friday went really well. The weather got very warm, up to 85 degrees! BUT, we had 35 mile an hour winds all day. Boy that dust really blows from the country roads & farm fields. We needed safety goggles on to protect our poor eyes, hehehe!

Then Friday night it had to storm with lots of hail & lightning. Then it rained off & on all day Saturday and was ONLY 43 degrees! Talk about extremes...... Mama was freezing the whole day sitting out in the garage. Sales weren't as good on Saturday, but we still had a steady stream of people stopping to look at things. Then we woke up on Sunday with storms & NO electricity. What a bummer. We were all tired, so we just lounged around the house all day.

Yesterday I Butchy went to the vet for my yearly shots & heartworm test plus I needed my thyroid blood test taken too. Mama had the vet check my eyes really well cause she was wondering if I have cat & rats starting. Hmmmmph, what the heck is cat & rats??? I'll turn 9 years old this year & I have just a tiny teeny touch of cat & rats starting. The vet said I have nothing to worry about for my age. That's a relief! Next week I go back to the vet & he's going to clean my toofies. All I can say is he better give me some treats afterwards, hehehe.

Tomorrow is Snickers' turn to go to the vet. The vetpire is going to drain her blood for her heartworm test. Then Mama & the vet will decide about starting Snickers on the second seizure drug. Decisions, decisions. We'll update you on what they decide.

Since Mama has been too busy to take any photos of us or the cats, here are some of our flower pictures. This is our pink magnolia tree. The flower buds are finally starting to open:

Mama is anxious for her yellow magnolia tree to bloom. It has only ever bloomed last year & the year before & had only a few buds each year. This year it is filled with flower buds. Here is one starting to pop open:

Here are a few more of our daffodils that are still blooming:

Uh oh, better go. I hear Dr. Snitchenstein calling for some help.

Wirey Hugs,
Butchy, Snickers, Ruby, Sylvester & Scuby

The flowers and trees look lovely, and we are glad the old vampire vet said your eyes are OK.

Good thoughts for Miss Snickers and her tests...Tell her I'll be arriving to escort her to the Wedding Thursday Morning.

We are very jealous of all your pretty colors! Our world has been white and black again (on Monday), but now the snow has melted and the green grass is showing up! Soon we'll be able to take daffodil and flowering tree pictures, too. But until then, we LOVE the ones you've taken!

Hey! Congrats on a good almost nine year check up Butchy! Fergi just had one, too. The vetman said that she probably IS nine years old (we weren't sure) because he can see little changes in her eyes. No cat & rats yet, but something only the doc could see. He knows his job, so we believe him!

He also said no other breed ages as well as us WFTs. That's nothing we didn't already know!

Good luck, Snickers, with your vetman visit. Don't leave without treats!

Wish we coulda been there for the garagezilla!

Bark at ya soon,
Jake and Fergi

WOWWW - my D wants to go to Garagezilla - she loves those things - she will drive miles out of her way to attend one. Most of house is furnished by other peoples old furniture. It makes her happy ...
Your flowers look great - I hope you are all better after preparing for Garagezilla and going to the Vets.
I went last week - and that will do me for a whole year or more....I hope they can get some new medication that scares the Seizure monster away!
Lots of licks

that garagezilla sounds like it was really tiring. our mom was so exhausted after her garage sale and it was only one day for 7 hours! eek. mom was bummed about ours and she said that she isn't going to do another one - ever. that's fine with us. whatever. we don't care.

we're glad your vet checkup was good, Butchy, and that your cats & rats are just little and no big deal. we will be sending you some B-power for when you get your toofies cleaned.

we will be anxious to hear what the vetpire & your mom decide about Snickers medicine. we want that seizure monster to go far away, but we don't want missy Snickers to be all drugged. good luck!

woofs.

It must have been hard and tiring getting everything ready for the huge garage sale. What a lot of effort and then a power failure...bummer!!!
Hope Snickers does well at the vet. We have our paws crossed for her.
Butchy mate, I'll be 9 this year too. I should check for those rats & cats too.
We have the same magnolia tree in our yard. Plus we have an evergreen one too with huge white flowers on it.

Ciao Butchy and Snickers!

I hope everything goes well for Snickers and that the vetpire (giggle!) finds a special medicine for her so the Seizure Monster goes away!

Butchy, you were a good boy at the vettie! Don't fret too much about those cats & rats -- it sounds like your doctor has everything under control. (Plus, you don't want to get worry lines on your handsome face because you know what THAT means: Barktox...!!)

That's such an accurate description "Vetpire". They not only drain blood, but wallets too!

Good luck with the vet and keep up the wacky work, see ya again soon.

What beautiful pictures. We agree that a 12-hour two day garage sale would be taxing. Sheesh - your poor Mom!
