Well we can tell you what Mama & Snickers found outside yesterday now. (after some phone calls to a certain Mumsie, hehehehe)
Yep, it's Bert with Gertie on the snow tube sledding down the hill.
Bert was SUPPOSED to go home with Lacie, Scruffy & Stan, but he took it upon himself to decide to hide here so he would miss the ride back home. Then he could sled some more with Gertie, hehehehe. Can't keep those two love stuffies apart.
Bert wasn't too happy when he found out that Lacie is tryin' to rent a big truck to drive here so she can buy some of our snow for her famous smoothies. Then Bert will have to go back home with Lacie. Actually he'll probably be glad when he gets home cause it's much warmer there. It is supposed to be -22 degrees tonight before you count the windchill factor. Did anyone say frozen pupsicles??????
Even the poor deer are freezing here in Iowa. Mama looked outside this morning & three little deer were huddled up into balls in the snow. First they dig a hole in the snow down to the ground, then they crawl into the small hole & curl up to keep warm. There are tons of these holes in the yard now. There are at least 5 young deer that sleep here all of the time in our yard.

Mama blew up parts of the photos for you to see the deer better, but then the photos get a bit fuzzy. Hope you can see them better though.
You can barely see this 3rd deer. Only his ears & part of his neck are sticking up out of the snow.
Think it's time to go snooze by the fire again. Hope everyone is staying warm & dry.

Awww, the deer are cute. We know a lot of people think they are a nuisance but we never see deer so we think its really cool.
Poor Deer, I guess they can't come in your house too? hehe. I hope it gets warmer there soon for you.

Strewth it's cold up there. You guys need a holiday in Australia. We've just had a bit of a heatwave but the temps are more reasonable today. Supposed to heat up again next week.

Bert sure is having a great time with Gertie! I hope that the deer can survive that bitter cold. BRRR! A nap by a warm fire sounds really good to me.

Maybe those deer will start huddling together for warmth. Or, like Asta said, maybe your mama could make them a special house or shed?
By the way, I was looking at all of the photos of your Koi fish, and I noticed that Koi Stanley is nowhere to be found. Did he go missing again?! Is there anything I can do to help find him? Please let me know if there is.

We thought it was cold HERE! It's about 6 degrees, this morning. We hope the deer stay toasty warm in their snuggly spots. It looks like Bert and Gertie are having loads of fun. I don't think Bert is going back to da burgh any time soon!
