POOR BAMBI AND NO MORE SNITCHYBUG

Hey Pals,

We have been really bummed around here since Sunday. We discovered that one of the bambi deer that visits our land daily has crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge.

We were walking around the land on Sunday, just checking out the deer tracks and doo doo remnants and this is what we found:

This poor little button buck just crawled under our pine trees and went to sleep forever.
We sure hope he didn't suffer and went peacefully.

We'll probably never know what happened to him for sure. There is no blood in the area, so we don't think he was hit by a passing car. He could have been weak or sickly and the below zero temperatures might have been too much for him. Rest in peace poor bambi.

Here are some pictures of the snow holes that the bambi make to lay in to keep warm around here:

With all of the deep snow that we have, food is becoming very scarce now for all of the outdoor critters. The deer will dig and dig in the snow looking for things to eat. Of course they luv to munch on our trees which doesn't make Mama and Papa very happy.

Here are a few of our trees that the bambi have chewed up:

This one really makes Mama sick cause it is her largest Colorado Blue Spruce tree that she planted as a tiny twig years ago.

Usually the deer do not chew on the blue spruce trees, so Papa didn't wrap wire fencing around them. But with the brutal winter we're having, the deer are eating everything they can find.

These two pictures show you some of the deer prints in the snow under some trees:

It looks like that on almost all of our land. A dozen deer can make lots of tracks and produce lots of doo doo for Snickers and I to try to grab, tee hee. That darn Mama has eagle eyes and won't even let us look at the doo doo let alone try to grab it.

We also wanted to tell everyone that after Mama talked with her income tax preparer, Snitchybug Dog Designs is NO MORE and has closed it's doors. After having three years of continued losses, it's time to close shop. Many small businesses just don't get enough sales to make a business profitable here in the United States. We've see many small businesses closing just in our surrounding area right and left in the last few months. With the present condition of the economy, we expect that many more stores will be closing this year.

We want to thank all of our customers from the bottom of our hearts for your support. To all of our friends that have advertised so generously on your blogs for us, please remove the ad link from your site as soon as possible. Again we thank you.

Wirey Hugs,
Butchy, Snickers, Ruby, Sylvester, Scuby & Linda

Poor Bambi. Maybe your rents could put some hay out for the deer. We are lucky down here in MS overall we have had a mild winter and we already see signs of springs. ~Socks, Scylla & Charybdis

So much sad news!
We hate to see small businesses that would have done great in normal conditions having to close right now. It's scarey and depressing. Mom and Dad have a cefepress shop and this is the first year since they opened it that there wasn't a profit and didn't have enough sales to cover the website fee completely. We were optomistic because sales were goin gup for the shop, but then this summer Mom had a feeling they would be short this year.
Hopefully the economy will get better and Snitchybug Designs will be able to start up again.

oh we are so sad. we are sad about the poor bambi that died. and we are sad about your Snitchybug store. now who can fix our broken stuffies? mom says mr. garbage man will take them to their final resting place. we are sorry. this 'conomy stinks! it makes us sad and worried cuz our mom doesn't have a job anymore and no money to buy us bully sticks. the good news is that she walks us a alot more, but we're worried about losing our comfy home and bed and back yard. we don't like to see our mom be worried either. we can tell that she doesn't know what to do. we are going to give her some advice soon.

we are very very sorry about your store. we enjoyed it so much and your Mama did such a good job. she is the best sewing person that we have ever known. she is a super-Mama. you kiddos are fortunate to have her.

sad & worried woofs.

We are really glad that we were able to get the Dr. Snitchybug dog bed and cat bed things before you had to close up shop.

Poor little Bambi-survival of the fittest is still hard to deal with emotionally.

That is sad to see a Bambi like that. Every year we see at least one on the side of the road because the peoples drive to fast and hit them. Hopefully your Bambi just went to sleep from being cold and tired.

No more Snitchybug Dog Designs either? At least you tried, but it must make mama sad a little.

We're really sorry that Snitchybug Designs is closing. How disappointing and sad for you after all these years.

It must have been upsetting seeing poor little Bambi under that tree. It must be a struggle for them during such a cold winter.

Yesterday was a very sad day after I read your post.
I knew that day would come when those unfortuate bambi deers could take it anymore: hunger, extremely cold weather would take their lives sooner or later. I hope that poor Bambi didn't suffer long before resting in peace.
I'm so sorry to hear Snitchybug designs closing the shop. What can we do, Butchy and Snickers?
Let's hope for a better future!
Hugs

Sorry to hear about your mom's store, Butchy & Snickers. Hope she'll be able to pick it up again sometime when the economy is better.

We hope the poor bambi didn't suffer too long in the cold before falling asleep forever.

Poor snitchybug! But all is not lost. Perhaps in a few years when things get a little better it can make a come back. My mom has always admired you mom's work, but thanks to this economy monster she hasn't been able to afford nifty new threads for us. (Well it's that, and my sudden need for MAJOR obedience lessons. WHATEVER MOM!)

Poor Bambi too. If venison didn't make me so itchy I'd say that would be a tasty feast! Hey.. waste not want not. That's a dog's motto!
