IT'S SYLVESTER SUNDAY! & BUTCHY GETS BOO BOO!

Hey Pals,


It's me Sylvester reporting today. I wanted to show you my orange mousie. It's my favorite toy.

I was playing along nicely the other day, then all of a sudden I freaked out! (as Mama called it) Can you see my back foot up behind my ear???


I just don't know what happened. Maybe an alien was invading my brain, hehehe!

Anyway, we had the worst weather last night. We had freezing rain & lots of it! When Papa got up to take Butchy & Snickers out to potty, he discovered how icy it was outside. Everything had thick ice layers. He couldn't even walk on the porch, let alone the steps. Our yard is like an ice skating rink. It's solid ice on top of all of the snow.

First he took Snickers out, and she fell down on the ice. Luckily she wasn't hurt. Later on that morning, Mama took Butchy out & it was a disaster. First he slipped & tumbled down the steps, then he bounced & then he hit his jaw on the step edge, yikes! The poor boy had blood coming out of his mouth. Mama was all worried. She rushed him into the house & examined his mouth.

After cleaning the blood out she could see his gums were cut up badly by his last big top back toofie. So then she was worried about that tooth & his jaw. Well she couldn't find any loose teefies, but he did chip the tip off of a smaller back tooth. She has been cleaning his mouth out every hour due to the bleeding & there are no signs of anything swelling yet. She can't feel any swelling anywhere around his jaw joint so hopefully he is ok. He could eat his food fine & doesn't yelp at all when Mama pokes around his mouth.

Ruby felt sorry for him & tried to nurse him.


She loves her Butchy Boy.


Butchy told Mama not to worry so much & that he's a big strong terrier.


Mama told him 'we'll just see how your mouth feels tomorrow!' If he has any pains tomorrow, off to the vet he'll go. Hmmmmm, I think it's time to go beg Mama for some more food. No wonder she calls me Vulture Boy, hehehehe!
