SEIZURE MONSTER REARS HIS UGLY HEAD!

Hey Pals,

We sure hope the new year turns out better than the last day of 2008. That mean ugly SEIZURE MONSTER just had to rear his ugly head & bother my poor sissy Snickers.


The mean villan showed up about 4:30 this afternoon & gave Snickers 4 seizures. Poor Mama gets very upset when Snickers has seizures, but she has to hide it from Snickers. Once the seizures are over & Snickers seems ok, then the stress hits Mama big time. It's very important to keep Snickers calm while she has her seizures. How could that mean monster hurt a cute doggy like Snickers??



We're praying that no other pets or hoomans have seizures tonight!! and that everyone has a Happy & Safe New Year's Eve!

IT'S SYLVESTER SUNDAY! & SOMEONE BEEN BERRY BERRY BAAAAD!

It's me silly Sylvester! I've been playing with my orange mousie that Ruby sent to us:

Do you see Butchy in the lower corner?? He has his eyes on my mousie. But he's not gonna get it.


I'm faster than you are Butchy, hehehehehe!


Well ok, maybe I'll share. You can have my mousie & I'll take my green bat!


I must tell you about the berry berry bad person in our house lately. He's supposed to keep our water hot, but he's been flooding the basement. Mama hasn't been too happy for 1 1/2 weeks either. See the bad person???


Mama & Papa had to go buy a new person & he cost a lot of money. Us furkids had to give up lots of treats for the year to buy him too. We decided that we didn't want our bath time to have ice cold water so we agreed to give up treats for warm/hot water.

I Sylvester was very scared with both people in our basement. I kept hiding under the basement stairs & wouldn't even eat my lunch. Mama felt so bad for me but since I was a wild feral cat & have only been living indoors for 2 months, I'm still scared of certain things. After 5 1/2 hours of working on the new person yesterday, Papa & cousin Dave finally had him working.

DOG PAUSE BOWLS

Hey Pals,

We wanted to tell you about our cool new bowls we received from Long Tail Pet Products.

They are called the DogPause Bowls:

Oh boy, a pretty red one.....


Hmmmm, I think I like the blue one best, Snickers can have the red one since we get to keep both bowls.

The DogPause Bowls help to slow down fast eaters like me Butchy! Yep, I can truly say it has worked for me. Snickers doesn't eat quite as fast as me, but it has slowed her down too.

The DogPause dog bowl works to slow down the pace of eating and aid with portion control in the following ways:

• Divides the bowl into 4 feeding zones
• Each feeding zone is 1/2 cup in capacity and designed to "block" the dog from putting his full snout into the bowl; this slows down eating pace as your dog needs to use his tongue for each bite
• After your dog finishes each zone, he must re-position himself for the next zone
• The bowl is designed to slide a little on the floor, further slowing down the dog as he needs to re-position for each bite

I must add that Snickers & I both have to squirm around to get into all four sections. Mama tried to time me Butchy while I was eating out of the bowl the first few times. When eating out of my old bowl, it takes me about 60 seconds to eat my food. With my new DogPause bowl, it takes about 5 minutes, no kidding!! Mama was thrilled that the new bowl made us eat slower.

The only thing she found that she did not like about the bowls, is that when we get our pumpkin & yogurt on top of our kibble for lunch time feeding, errrrr, ummmmmm, our moustaches get just covered with orange pumpkin, hehehehe! Snickers absolutely refused to let Mama post a picture of her with an orange moustache, sorry. So for wet foods, the bowls might not work as neatly for longer hair faced dogs. Shorthair breeds should have no problems eating wet foods in these bowls.

IT'S RUBY TUESDAY!

Ruby here for Ruby Tuesdays! Check out this new pet bed that Mama sells:


I really like this style. Hmmmmm, since I'm inside of a teepee, maybe Mama can make me an Indian Princess costume like she did for Snickers. I better put that on her list of things to do.

I thought I would show you how much I luv my Papa & Butchy boy.

Butchy doesn't even wake up when I massage his back feet, hehehe! Mama said she is jelly cause I don't massage her feet.

Guess what?? Yep, GOT SNOW again. Can you believe it's snowing again today? This is getting old real fast according to Mama. I'm so lucky that I don't have to be outdoors anymore.

This will be my very first Christmas Eve & Christmas Day inside of a house. Check out this cool card that Mama & Papa received, it has a puppy & kitty inside of a stocking on the front:

IT'S SYLVESTER SUNDAY! & BLIZZARD BLUES

Hey Pals,


It's me Sylvester all warm, snuggled in the bankie I stole from Snickers. Can you believe it's 30 below zero again today??? The wind is howling about 35-40 miles per hour. Most of the state is under blizzard warnings. We've even had more snow since the 12 inches we received on Thursday. Yesterday it started snowing early in the morning & we bet we got another 4-6 inches of fresh snow. Of course with the wind, now we have drifts all over & some are getting very deep. The county snow plows haven't even cleared our roads yet. They made one skinny pass on Friday late & that's it.

Mama & Papa haven't been too happy cause our water heater is broken. So Saturday they tried to get to town to buy a new one. What a joke! They kept getting stuck on the roads. Luckily some nice men would stop & help push the vehicle out of the snow. Menards had the exact kind that we need & the inventory computer said they had 2 in stock. WRONG! They couldn't find them anywhere. Mama & Papa were in that store for hours. But while they were there a big semi-truck that wasn't supposed to show up until next Tuesday arrived & guess what?? It actually had one of the exact water heater model that we needed! So they waited some more while it was unloaded from the big truck. So now we have a new water heater sitting in the garage. Yep, might be out there for several days. Cousin Dave is going to help install it but guess what? He's stuck at an airport in Florida. He was in Connecticut all week & the airport thought if they could get the plane to Florida, then they could get back up to Minneapolis. WRONG AGAIN! Minnesota was getting the snow storms & winds like we were. So Cousin Dave was in Florida, his vehicle up in Minnesota. We sure hope he gets home safely today.

The snow has gotten so deep here that Snickers, Butchy & Scuby don't want to go out to potty. Papa has had to shovel pathways for them to even walk outside. The snow is about 15 inches deep under the path too. Here are a few pictures:

Good thing we have this fireplace to keep us warm. Hmmmmm, guess I'll go see if I can wake Butchy up. He's all snuggled in a bankie too & doesn't want to get up for anything.

CALM BEFORE THE STORM & YELLOW SNOW!

Hey Pals,

Well you might have heard on the news that we received lots of snow on Tuesday. Well, that was nothin' compared to what's coming here tonight. They are thinking 12 inches of that white stuff is going to fall here after a bit of freezing rain. Yikes! This is how the ponds looked here this morning:


We got all of that snow on Tuesday. On Sunday, most of our snow had melted away turning to lots of ice in many areas. Then on Monday it was 30 below zero with the wind! Anyway, Mama told us this afternoon to get all of our pottying business done ahead of time cause she's not taking us out in 12 inches of snow!

Belly Shots & Monkey Girl

Hey Pals,

It's Butcho here today. Can you believe our snow is melting? I think it's 40 degrees but it's very windy. Tonight we're supposed to get rain, yucko. That means we'll have ice eventually plus Tuesday we're getting more snow! Good thing I flew Bert home in my plane on Thursday. I don't like to fly in the rain, hehehehe! Now that Bert n' Gert are married, I'll be flying lots of trips to PA.

We decided to show you some of our belly shot pictures. Thought you might get a good laugh out of them. Sylvester & I don't show our bellies very much though. So we didn't have very good pictures.



Sylvester even has his tongue sticking out, hehehehe!

Mama has now nicknamed Scuby 'MONKEY GIRL'. Can you guess why?? Well, she loves to run up into the trees & climb around like a monkey! Here she is almost to the top of this pine tree:

Mama is worried that Scuby will get stuck up in a really tall tree. Some of our hickories are over 80-90 feet tall.

Uh oh, gotta go watch tv. Mama is putting in the movie Firehouse Dog! Gotta see that.
