IT'S SYLVESTER SUNDAY! & SEIZURE MONSTER

Hey Pals,


It's Sylvester, reporting from behind the trunk. This has been my favorite spot to lay the past few days.

I sadly must report today that the Seizure Monster visited poor Miss Snickers & she had some more cluster seizures last night. Mama nursed her through them & Snickers did ok during the night. Today she seems to be doing ok too. Butchy took off in his plane last night to go get Nurse Lacie & Nurse Asta to come nurse Snickers & cheer her up.


Butchy had a little trouble on the take off due to the snow we got last night & can you believe it's still snowing? Here are some pictures of the yard this morning:






When Mama & Papa were walking Snickers they saw these wild turkeys out in the field:


They must have survived Thanksgiving! hehehehe!

Mama told me that Snickers still doesn't look quite her self, but getting there. It usually takes at least one day for her to get back to normal.

Here is the pond that our pet koi live & the water is starting to get an ice layer now. Those silly deer have been walking on it too. Sure hope they don't fall in like last year.


Hmmmm, wonder when this snow is going to stop?? See you next Sunday.

TRAITOR IN DA HOUSE! & ANOTHER PET BED

Hey Pals,

It's Miss Snickers posting today. I just have to tell you what I caught Butchy doing yesterday & today. Ya know how he licks my head & face & cleans my ears?? & I usually beg him to clean me more when he stops??

Yep, I caught him red handed cleaning Ruby!!! What is this terrier world coming too???

Seamstress Ruby has been busy helping Mama with some more pet beds. Mama had this bed inside out & upside down when Ruby decided it needed testing:

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL! & SCUBY'S ADOPTION DAY!

We thought we would wear our Thanksgiving outfits today. We are dressed as Indians.

Yesterday Sylvester & I Butchy had our turn going to the vet. You will never believe this, but I finally lost 4 1/2 lbs. I had gained weight when I became Hypothyroid. It makes your metabolism slow down. Mama tried to get my weight off & couldn't so they finally switched us to the Fish & Potato Senior Solid Gold food & it worked! I'm only 22 1/2 lbs. now. Silly Sylvester didn't get weighed cause he was still scared at the vet's office, but when he was neutered one month ago, he was 8 lbs. Mama doesn't think he has gained any weight yet. His little ribs still show pretty well.

Since Papa wants to keep Scuby as an outdoor cat, we decided she needed to have an official Adoption Day. So today is her official Adoption Day!! Scuby is very thankful that Mama & Papa feed her & give her shelter. Mama even made her an extra little bed by her food bowl outside the back door. She napped in it all day yesterday. Mama explained Scuby's bed set up under the sunroom to our vet & he said Scuby would do just fine during the winter. We think Scuby wants to be a dog cause when we go out to do walkies & potty, Scuby walks with us all around our land & even goes potty too! Mama laughs! Scuby loves me & Snickers up all of the time when we go outside & I even play with her. She likes to wrestle. Here are a few more pictures of her:




Mama still thinks that Scuby could be Ruby's sister, but we'll never know for sure. We hope everyone has a very Happy Thanksgiving & we're thankful for all of our wonderful pals!

IT'S RUBY TUESDAY!

Hey Pals,
It's me Ruby.


We finally got things cleaned up around here from the big bbq pawty so Mama said we could post.

Gosh, it took days to clean the bbq stains off of the bath tub. Butchy wore his little nails down to the bone scrubbing away. Mama felt sorry for him, but she just couldn't let all of the guests go home with bbq stains on their fur & stuff. Their Mama's wouldn't have been too happy with us, tee hee. So Mama had everyone take a quick bath. Sylvester & I didn't need one, but Butchy & Snickers sure did. Snickers sure feels better after all of her pals coming here to cheer her up.

Well it was totally covered with grills. Bert n Gert had their hands full making all of that bbq meat. Here is a glimpse of what some of the meat looked like before it was devoured by the guests:


Can you believe we even had snow for the pawty???

Snickers & I Ruby went to the vet today. Snickers had the vetpire steal her blood & she got some shots too. No worries about her tiny seizure. The vet thought it was maybe brought on by the stress of her vomit & poo episode several days earlier. Even if she would have 2-3 seizures per year, no need to raise her medicine dosage unless she would have lots of seizures.

I got a shot today too. Now I don't need to go back for a whole year! But remember those ear mites I had when Mama adopted me?? Well they gave me a yeast/bacteria secondary ear infection so Mama has to put medication in my ears twice per day until the tube of goo is empty. At least the icky mites were all gone. I also gained some weight which is good. I now weigh 6 lbs. & 7 oz. The vet told Mama to have me get to 7 lbs. & then stay at that weight. Now Butchy & Sylvester get to go to the vet tomorrow, hehehehehe!

Do you remember Scuby, my wild buddy before I was adopted as an indoor kitty?? Well Scuby still comes here to eat food. Scuby is finally getting tame. Scuby loves to play with Butchy & Snickers. The plan was to take Scuby to the rescue place once he was tame enough around hoomans so that he wouldn't be scared. Well, now that he is tame, Mama could finally do some checking on his body & you'll never guess what she discovered???

SCUBY IS A GIRL!! Yep, yellow/orange & white tabby girl. Now here's the kicker, Papa doesn't want Mama to take Scuby to the rescue shelter. He wants to keep her but have her live OUTDOORS. No more kitties in the house. Scuby has been living under our sunroom which is totally enclosed around the bottom so no wind gets in there. Plus the house wall blocks the north & west wind. Papa got some big bankies to put under there too & is making her a big bed area to sleep in so that she keeps warm. We've already seen her grabbing those darn mice outside too. So she's a good MOUSER! Here are some pics Mama got of Scuby on Sunday:


Mama wonders if Scuby is one of my littermates since we both showed up around here at the same time & Scuby is only a tiny touch bigger than I am. Her teeth seem to look the same size & age as mine too. So maybe she is my sissy!

SNICKERS ALL BETTER, THEN SEIZURE HITS

Poor Snickers. First she had the vomiting & icky poo stuff last weekend, now today she had a small seizure. She is one unhappy camper right now & so is Mama. She doesn't like it when one of her babies gets sick. Plus, errrr ummmm, I Butchy fell asleep on the job today. I was supposed to be helping Mama & she caught me like this:


I have to get my act together, cause now I'm packing up the plane to go pick up Gussie in Mayemphis. He is coming here so he can help nurse Snickers. I sure hope we got all of the bbq sauce stains off of the plane seats. That Bert n Gert sure didn't help much. I had to constantly nag at them to keep scrubbing. All they did was talk about bbq recipes. Hmmmph! Did I get any FREE bbq??? No sireeeeeee! Well I'm getting even with them. I decided since Gussie is coming here, that Bert n Gert can cook up some ribs for us & we can have a pawty. Anyone else want to come for bbq??? Joey, Tanner, Asta, Lacie, Scruffy, 4B's, Kirby??? IT'S RUBY TUESDAY!

Hey Pals,


It's me Ruby & boy am I glad I'm not living outdoors anymore. It has been getting very cold here in Iowa. It sure is nice & toasty taking naps in the sunroom window.



My poor wild outdoor buddy Scuby still shows up daily for food. He is finally getting tame around Mama, Butchy & Snickers. Mama is hoping to get him tame enough to take him up to the Waverly Pet Rescue so that they can find him a furever home. Mama hates to see Scuby outdoors for the winter. He is pretty small like I am.

Today I decided I need some new skills. You know, like Snickers. She is now a nurse & gets to help Dr. Snitchybug out with surgeries. She also gets to go visit her pals when they are sick or recovering from surgeries to nurse them back to good health.

So....................I decided to learn how to sew so that I can help out Mama when she makes the pet beds.

First I learned all about the NU-Foam that she uses in the pet beds.


I even hopped inside of the box to check the foam out first paw, tee hee. I also napped on it to test out the cushiness.

Next I had to learn about the fabrics & how to inspect the cut pieces.


Hmmmm, then I decided I better test out the softness of the foam again....


Ahhhhhhhhh, soft enough to nap on............

IT'S SYLVESTER SUNDAY!

Hey Pals,

It's me Sylvester! Wow, what another lovely week I have had living indoors in my new home. I have figured out that there are warm air vents in the house. I like to lay by the one in the kitchen:


I also figured out that there is a CLONE of me! Check out this dude:


How did he get inside of the dishwasher?? He never chats with me, just stares.

Mama got a good picture of my pearly whites this week. You can even see my broken off front right fang. Mama thinks I probably was in a cat fight or chewed on something hard when I lived outdoors cause I also had a scar on my leg when they adopted me.


It's been kind of boring the last few days. Butchy has been forcing Bert n Gert to clean up his airplane. Mama won't let me go outside to see the plane. I told Butchy I could lick up the bbq sauce stains & his carpet & seats would look as good as new again. Butchy sure liked that idea, but Mama didn't go for it. Snickers has been a sickly girl since Friday night. So all she has been doing is sleeping, no playing with us. She seems to be getting better today. Her beau Gussie sent some homemade virtual Chicken Noodle Soup to help her recover.

I was all excited this week cause Mama was making ME a cat bed! Yep, my very own. That way I don't have to sneak into Ruby's. Ruby got to model in it for a picture so Mama could list this style on her web site Snitchybug Dog Designs to sell.





Isn't it meowable?? Well, the bed is no longer mine! My new girlfriend Keisha just had to buy it. She fell in love with it. So it's on the way to her now. To view her Catster page, click on her name above to see her bootiful face!

This one is the same style as Ruby's leopard bed. Mama has several other styles she can make too. Guess I better go pick out which one I want huh?
