GOIN' TO THE STEELERS GAME!!

Hey Pals,
Woohoo, it's Monday Night Football & we're going to the Steelers game in Da Burg with Lacie, Scruffy & Fiona. I'm sure glad Lacie didn't get grounded by Mumsie.

Lacie was wondering how we're getting to her house tonight, WELL.......

Mama decided to give me a birfday prezzie early, (my birfday isn't until Sunday)

Check this out.....

Is that cool or what??? I even have my own flight gear....

Lacie told us it's getting a bit cold there at night, so Snickers & I put on our football attire....

Oh yes, and dear Max is wheelin' around here with joy cause he get's to go to the game too & meet up with his love Fiona!!

Scruffy was kinda nervous about being Snickers escort, (he thought Gussie might beat him up!) so we decided since I have a my very own plane now, I can swing by Mayemphis & pick up Gussie, Snickers' sweetie!! This way Scruffy can sit on one side of Snickers & Gussie on the other side. Gee, just like having her very own body guards, tee hee.

Guess we better get moving, time to fly out & pick up Gussie. See you soon Lacie!!!

Wirey Hugs!
Butchy & Snickers
PS Mama told us Ruby has to stay home, somethin' about being scared of planes.

BAMBI ARE IN BIG TROUBLE!

Hey Pals,
We've been berry busy helping Mama & Papa today with the big pond. It's that time of year to trim off the plants that grow in the ponds. Now that it's Fall, the leaves turn yellow & brown & yucky. So it's best to trim them off instead of letting them fall into the pond water. We decided to supervise from the deck:

Ruby was supervising from inside of the house by the french door. (don't tell her we told you, but she napped almost the WHOLE time!!!)

Mama started draining the water out of the big pond on Thursday. This is what it looked like this morning:

There is still about 2 feet of water in the pond. As you can see the green stems & leaves are still on the plants in the pond:

Here is another view:

This is the very far end:

Things were going fine until Papa found this:

Yep, it's a 1 inch whole in the liner & ya know who did it???? Those darn bambi. It's right where they usually crawl in & out of the pond. Boy was Mama mad. So then they had to spend time today patching the liner, what a pain!!

As you can see below, all of the stems & stuff are now chopped off, the pots are all bare looking:

All of the bullfrogs & leopard frogs came hopping out of the pond to go to the other pond to hide since Mama chopped off their cover.

After they got the hole patched, then they started to fill the pond back up with water. It will take at least 2 days to fill it completely.

Mama fed the fish & then she discovered all kinds of baby koi swimming around. They must have been hiding in all of the cover too cause this was the first time she saw the babies. There are at least 3 dozen & some are already 3 inches long! This one in the photo is metallic yellow & about 2 inches long:

We're excited about the baby koi because when spring comes around, they'll be big enough to name. We have lots of our pals names on the list to use for naming too.

Guess we better go take a nappy, we're bushed out from supervising all day.

WHEELY WEDNESDAY No 25

Hey Pals,

It's me Bentley. We've had some strange things going on around here lately. Butchy & Snickers told us that an alien pod has landed in our house! Lo & behold, it sure did.

Check this out:

All of us wheely kids & stuffie kids were kind of scared. I got nominated to check out the pod up close...

I didn't see anything inside of it, no aliens. Hmmmmm, wonder if it's invisible??? Finally it stopped glowing & humming. So Digby decided to help me out with the investigation. He climbed up to the top of the pod to take a look...

Nothing here Bentley!! Think I'll have a look inside of the pod.

Oh no, just as Digby got inside, it started glowing & humming again.

And look what I saw in the room???

The alien creature had it's tail wrapped around one of the stuffies! Wonder if it's friendly or not??

Finally the pod shut down & Digby ran right out. Poor little guy, he was scared to death & had to climb on top of me...

I hope there is no alien inside of you Digby. Do you feel ok???

Digby is still speechless. He was so scared that it almost knocked the stuffins right out of him, hehehehehe!

Well hopefully we'll know by next week if an alien hatches inside of Digby. Maybe you best get off of my back Digby in case you turn into an alien beast!

Wheely Hugs!

IT'S RUBY TUESDAY!

Hey Pals,
It's Ruby Tuesday already! Geez, Mama doesn't have anything ready for Ruby's posts either. She's been so darn busy lately. Her & Papa left us to go to Des Moines on Sunday cause Papa had to work. Well, it wasn't hard work at all. His company had a booth to set up at the big Bank Convention that was held on Monday. Here is a picture of Papa at the booth they set up:

He installs all kinds of office cubicles, bank teller lines, all kinds of furniture, blinds, you name it. They do many banks here in Iowa & some in the surrounding states, some are brand new banks, some are total remodel jobs. So if anyone needs a bank remodeled, call Papa, hehehe!

Ok, now we'll let Ruby meow to you.

Meoowwwww to all of my new pals. Check out this pod bed that Mama made for me:

It's very comfy, I like to sleep in it. I go into a trance when I crawl into it & I go to lahlah land.....

Prrrrrrrrr......

Purrs & Licks,
Ruby
PS I'm still begging Mama to let me have my own bloggy. I think Butchy & Snickers' blog is too full of their stuff!

RUBY IS HOME

Hey Pals,
Sorry we didn't get to post for Wheely Wednesday, but Mama has been very busy getting cat supplies & getting things set up for Ruby. She has been cleaning in the basement for a few days now. Trying to make sure there is nothing that Ruby could get into that would hurt her or make her sick.

Ruby has one half of the basement to roam in right now while she's learning to use the litter box. She's getting better at using it already. Then several times per day, Mama lets Ruby come upstairs to roam around the whole house to check things out.

Ruby got home from the Dogtor yesterday afternoon. Her surgery went well. The lump on her back by her spine is nothing to be concerned about. We just have to watch it. The Dogtor thinks it could be from an old injury perhaps since she was outdoors.

Guess how old Ruby is??? Mama was way off. The Dogtor thinks she is already 1 year old. She only weighs 5 1/2 lbs. so she is a small kitty. Poor Ruby had ear mites & worms, which Mama suspected anyway. So she had to be treated for that stuff too. The good news is that she tested NEGATIVE for the Feline Leukemia, yippeeee! Ruby is still pretty tired so Mama just lets her nap. Can you believe that Mama already made her one pillow bed?? and is making her some more things?? Here is Ruby showing off her bed:

Ooops, she's falling asleep again, hehehehe!

Besides doing things for Ruby, Mama decided she better start getting Snickers' hair done. Well she's almost done with it. Still needs to work on her legs & feet, but here is Snickers...

Pssssst, don't tell Mama that my hair is too long, I don't want it done yet. I think Lacie likes her boyfriends to have long curly hair, tee hee!!

RUBY'S STORY

Hey Pals,
Well, some of you have guessed right. Ruby the cat is now our new sissy & she lives in the house with us. It was finally official today cause Mama had Ruby scanned for any microchips & none were found. Mama has searched all of the web sites she could find for lost kitties in our area, and none were reported around here out in the country. No one coming around asking for lost kitties, no flyers posted, etc. So Ruby is a true lost or abandoned kitty. Her official GOTCHA DAY will be Sep. 14, 2008. We thought we would be nice to our new sissy & let her tell you her sad but happy ending story.

Hello doggies, kitties, bunnies, hamsters, etc., my name is now Ruby! I & a few of my siblings have been hanging around Butchy & Snickers' house for several weeks now. (at least we think they are my brudders & sissies) We think we are about 6 months old but the vet will give us a better guess tomorrow.

I'm not sure how we found Butchy & Snickers' home but ended up here. We kept checking things out in the yard, garage, sheds, & around the outside of the house. About a week ago, I kept hanging around the garage non-stop. Everytime Mama would look out the windows, I would be there. Mama thinks someone dropped me & my siblings off out here in the country thinking we were old enough to live on our own without hooman help.

Well on Saturday morning, I just sat by the garage door crying & meowing my head off. I wanted that darn garage door open. So finally Mama opened the door, thinking I would maybe find some mice to eat in there. Instead what she found was ME inside of her garbage can digging for food. She finally got the hint that I was starving. So Papa went into the house & then he came back out with a nice bowl of doggie food for me. I ran right up to the porch & started to gorge myself with food. Mmmmmmm, it was sooooo tasty.

I knew I had found a nice place to get some good food. So I stayed glued to the porch. I then figured out there was a back porch too & would sit there right at the door. One of my siblings would come to eat food too, but it was too scared to stay around the hoomans.

Mama & Papa did lots of thinking that day & decided they would go to the store on Sunday & buy some kitten food for me. They thought since they had been seeing me around for several weeks total now, that I didn't have a home. So they thought they would feed me daily & see if I would stay around the home & protect them from the mice outside. WRONG!

I had put on my bestest kitty charm & did a lot of purring. Once they saw how I would cuddle up to them, beg them to pet me, follow them around outside, they knew I had to be an indoor cat. Hehehehehe, I had them hooked!

Now, is that a smart kitty or what???

Mama & Papa have never owned a cat before, so this is all new to them. Now before Mama & Papa rescued Butchy, he lived with a cat & they would have fun playing & wrestling all of them time. I can hardly wait to do that with him. Snickers has never been around cats, so Mama is training her to be calm & nice around me. So far things are going very well.

I have my own purrrsenal room in the basement for all of MY things. But I get to roam around the rest of the house too. Here are some of my new things:

This is the box that has my kitty food inside of it...

This is one of my new beds......

This is my food & water bowl.....

Hmmmmm, all of this talking is making me thirwsty, better get a fresh dwink.....

Anway, that's just some of my new things here. Mama is going to make me some napping pillows & some fun things. I hope to make lots of new kitty friends here on the web that blog. Maybe they can even send advice to Mama & Papa on cat things.

Butchy & Snickers have been woofing & trying to decide if they would like to share their blog with me. There are 2 choices so far, I can have RUBY TUESDAY & have my own posts on each Tuesday or I can have my very own bloggy. Mama is very busy around here, especially after adopting me, so I don't know if she would have time to help me with my own blog much. What do you pals think? Tuesdays or own blog??? Let us know what you think, especially from those households that have more than one blog now.

Now for the not so good stuff, tomorrow I'm going to have spay surgery. I also have a lump near my mid-spine that Dr. Tammy is going to check out. I even heard Mama saying that I will get my shots & get checked for icky worms & stuff, ewwwwwwwh! So please say your purrsss that I will be ok. I have to stay overnight at the vet on Wednesday night & can come home on Thursday afternoon. I know I will miss my new Mama & Papa then.

Many thanks to Daisy the Cat for stopping by to say hi!

Ruby

BUTCHY & LACIE'S PICK A NICK DATE

Hey Pals,
Gertie the Spy here again today.

Boy am I tuckered out from the pick a nick date yesterday. Riding inside of that picnic basket was no piece of cake! Several times that stoopid lid fell down & smacked me up side the head, ouchhhhh.

Once we arrived at the Backbone State Park, Lacie picked out this very nice spot to set up the bankie for the pick a nick lunch.

Then everyone decided to go on the hike first & go up the Devil's Backbone. Now I was really in trouble. I had to fess up to Snickers that I was there & what I was doing & convince her to let me ride on her back, hiding under her wirey fur. She finally agreed.

First we hiked around on the trails in the deep forest:

Then we started up the trail onto the Devil's Backbone...

Can you see how high up we are??? I was scared to look down...

Here is another view of the creek way below where we were...

Whew, I was glad when the hike was over. Next it was time to swim in the nice cool trout stream. Here is Lacie in her pink bikini:

Butchy flew into the creek & right away had to fetch a nice big stick just for Lacie....

Snickers had to roach in the sand of course. She told me it's very therapeutic.

So then Lacie & Snickers had Butchy bury them under the sand in the shallow part of the stream, hehehehe! All that was sticking out was their wet heads!!

Here is the lovely wet couple, don't they look like they were made for each other??? Butchy can hardly believe that he found a girl that likes to swim like he does...

They sure had a great time swimming & diving down under the water to catch sticks & baby trout. Hmmmmm, must have made them hungry cause then we headed back to the pick a nick spot.

Wonder what's in that big bowl??? Oh yummy, wallymelon!

Treats from Three Dog Bakery...

Awwwwwh, look at the cute couple... Can you believe that Lacie hasn't even snapped at Butchy??? Now why did they keep teasing Butchy about 'Silence Of The Lambs'????

Here they are sharing some wallymelon.....

Such a pawfect pick a nick. Butchy was so sad to see it end. Specially since he knows that Lacie has some other dates lined up for next week. He is totally bummed out cause he had such a great time with Lacie.

Inquiring doggies want to know......

Will Lacie go out with Butchy again??

Will she dump her other dates for Butchy??

Will she give Butchy a kiss without biting his face off??

Will they become the newest dog couple in the blogging world??

Only her hairdresser knows for sure!!!

This is Gertie, CIA Wheely Operative, end of report.

Wheely Hugs,
Gertie
