Gertie the Spy here again today.
Boy am I tuckered out from the pick a nick date yesterday. Riding inside of that picnic basket was no piece of cake! Several times that stoopid lid fell down & smacked me up side the head, ouchhhhh.
Once we arrived at the Backbone State Park, Lacie picked out this very nice spot to set up the bankie for the pick a nick lunch.
Then everyone decided to go on the hike first & go up the Devil's Backbone. Now I was really in trouble. I had to fess up to Snickers that I was there & what I was doing & convince her to let me ride on her back, hiding under her wirey fur. She finally agreed.
First we hiked around on the trails in the deep forest:
Then we started up the trail onto the Devil's Backbone...
Can you see how high up we are??? I was scared to look down...

Whew, I was glad when the hike was over. Next it was time to swim in the nice cool trout stream. Here is Lacie in her pink bikini:
Butchy flew into the creek & right away had to fetch a nice big stick just for Lacie....
Snickers had to roach in the sand of course. She told me it's very therapeutic.
So then Lacie & Snickers had Butchy bury them under the sand in the shallow part of the stream, hehehehe! All that was sticking out was their wet heads!!
Here is the lovely wet couple, don't they look like they were made for each other??? Butchy can hardly believe that he found a girl that likes to swim like he does...
They sure had a great time swimming & diving down under the water to catch sticks & baby trout. Hmmmmm, must have made them hungry cause then we headed back to the pick a nick spot.
Wonder what's in that big bowl??? Oh yummy, wallymelon!

Awwwwwh, look at the cute couple... Can you believe that Lacie hasn't even snapped at Butchy??? Now why did they keep teasing Butchy about 'Silence Of The Lambs'????

Such a pawfect pick a nick. Butchy was so sad to see it end. Specially since he knows that Lacie has some other dates lined up for next week. He is totally bummed out cause he had such a great time with Lacie.
Inquiring doggies want to know......
Will Lacie go out with Butchy again??
Will she dump her other dates for Butchy??
Will she give Butchy a kiss without biting his face off??
Will they become the newest dog couple in the blogging world??
Only her hairdresser knows for sure!!!

We weally appweciate all the twouble you went to to wepowt on the date fow us..you got some gweeat photogwaphs!!! Butchy Love looks so pawfect wif Lacie, and I'm so glad she was sweet to him..you know the only weason I didn't twy to date him is cause we'we welated, but I have a weal soft spot fow him in my heawt.
I bet Snickers and Lacie got weally bootiful fwom the mud baf..and the pick a nick looked yummie!!!

Gertie, You are an ACE reporter. Butchy and Lacie looked like they had a terrierific time together.And Miss Snickers he,he with her sandbath,a girl after my own tastes! But yikees, I was scared when Lacie and Snickers had just their heads popping up from the water! The pick i nic looked dogalicious, especailly the treats from the 3 dog bakery. Mom has their cookery book to bake a treat or ten for me!
But Gertie - can you possibly do a bit of spying when Lacie next goes to the hairdressers cos I do want to know the answers to those questions.....!!!

Oh my...what a lovely Pick A Nick we had...and the swimming was fabulous! Thank you ever so much for the date...I'd...BLUSH BLUSH...love to go out with you again! It was sorta hard to chew the foodie with the mandatory mouthgard that my brothers CEMENTED into my sweet Lakie mouth, but the soft food was easily done. They said the mouthgard was just a small insurance protection...I have no idea what they are talkin' about...maybe they were afraid that Mama put some pitted cherries in the fruit salad...but I didn't find any.
You were a FAB date, Butchy...I love the way you blushed when I tried to kiss you. The operative word here is tried...you jumped so high that ya fell in the creek...oh well...a little nervous I guess...

Lacie must really like Butchy.....she didn't have to wear that wire mask her mumsie want to get her! Plus she didn't even bite or snap or snip. This is progress or they are soul mates (soul mates in Lacie time....couple weeks). Good luck pal we are a rootin' for ya!!!
