This is Butchy speaking today. We have postponed Wheely Wednesday until tomorrow some time. Poor Snickers had many seizures last night from 2:00-4:00AM. Mama was up all night with her trying to do what she could. She rushed her to the vet this morning & they took lots of blood & did a battery of tests on her. She is doing ok so far today. The tests done today only showed an elevation in liver enzymes. So tomorrow she will be at the vet again very early in the morning after doing a 12 hour fast & they will do a bile acid test to see what the enzyme level is before eating, and after eating. She'll be back home tomorrow afternoon. But we won't know the test results until possibly Monday or Tuesday. If the test results turn out ok, then Snickers has just NORMAL EPILEPSY & will need to start taking medication to keep seizures away. If the tests are NOT ok, the next step is an ultrasound done on the liver looking for tumors. Please cross your paws that Snickers only has the epilepsy. It is very easy to treat for the rest of her life. Mama is very very worried, but she can't let Snickers know this.
Our sweet cousin Nurse Asta is on her way here to help with nursing duties. She is an excellent nurse so we know that Snickers will be well cared for. Please also pray for our wirey pal Jackson. He also just had a ton of tests taken & tomorrow will go through more tests & need to stay overnight at the vet office. As soon as we get test results we will let you know.

Butchy, I'm on my way...we're gonna need to get over to Jackson's too...this way Asta and I can split some shifts...all we'll need is a basket with a couple of warm blankets so we can stay by Snicker's side. Babystan and Scruff put a huge box of terrier zen in my luggage...don't be frettin' Sweet Butchy...we'll be right there helpin' ya out and thinkin' bout ya! Be sweet to ur mom now, she's worried, kay???

oh dear, we are sending all of our healing curly poodle vibes to miss Snickers. we are hoping for the normal epilepsy too. we have a poodle friend who has that and she takes a pill and has been just fine for many years. please tell your mamma not to worry - that Snickers is in good hands with the vet and they will make her better. we don't want your mamma to get over-stressed. give her a hug from our mom okay, and give her some licks from us.

Ahh, Butchy, what scary news. We'll keep our paws crossed that it's just epilepsy. Our friend Lyle has that and it is easily controlled with medication. You need to be an extra good boy until Snickers is all better.

Oh no, this is terrible!! Seizures are so scary to witness. I can't imagine what your mom went through watching Snickers have multiple seizures. It must have been horrible. We'll keep our fingers crossed that it's normal epilepsy. That will be tough waiting till next week for the results. Waiting can be the worst part. We'll think positive thoughts and keep Snickers in our prayers.
Oh no Butchy, we are so sorry to hear about Snicker's seizures. This is awful and we truly hope that it's epilepsy. Poor little thing, she must be wondering what on earth is happening.

we are thinking good thoughts for the epilepsy. Mom's family had a dog that had epilepsy and had to take medication every day when she was younger. It helped a lot.
Seizures are scary. We hope Snickers will be okay and not have to got through this again.

We are also praying for our darling friend Snickers.
My friend Zoe has seizures too and she is on meds and she has a normal, happy life. It took a little while til the vet came up with the right dose but they hit it and now she's just fine.

Oh, no! We feel soooo bad for you, Miss Snickers! We'll be praying for the epilepsy. That seems kind of strange, but you know what we mean. Our mom's sister has a dog who has it and he is fine as long as she gives him his meds. We are praying that you will be fine too. And you better be VERY nice to her and your mom, Butchy!

I am so sorry that Snickers is sick and I hope it is something easily treatable like epilepsy. I am sending my strongest purrs for Snickers.
I hope that it is nothing serious. Could her condition similar to Party the WFT in Singapore? Something about brain injury. Did Snickers had a fall and hit her head? I hope she will be alright. I will be thinking of you guys and keep my paws crossed that Snicker's test results come out ok.

Lots of paws and fingers are crossed at my house! I've never hoped anybody had epilepsy before so it's a little weird, but it's WAY better than more tests and whoe knows what. Take care Snickers!!!!
