THE KOI WHISPERER No 1

Hey Pals,
The Koi Whisperer has been very busy around here. First of all, she finally got our Pet Koi bubbleshare up on the blog. Look up above. There is only one koi that we didn't have a picture of yet, Koi Princess Moosie. As we get better pictures of each koi, we will insert the new picture & delete the old. Those hungry little devils are so hard to photograph, especially with the water movement, sun & shade & items reflecting off of the water.
She also brought us a surprise, see:
Three new young koi. Now these are not babies that were hatched in our pond, these are rescued from the pet store, hehehehe. We have names picked out for them from our list of MIA koi, but we don't want to tell you yet until the fish pass the quaranteen period. They will probably be staying in the pond on the deck for about 2 months before we release them into the big pond. Can you believe the Koi Whisperer already taught the new koi how to WHISPER??????
The next thing she will be teaching the koi is how to NOT BEG for food. As you can see below, Koi Wally has his mouth wide open begging. (it's a bit hard to see him since he is a black koi with white belly & white lips & barbels.
She also needs to teach them NOT to splash water & food all over us when we feed them. They get us soaked sometimes, hehehehe.

Here are a few more waterlily pictures we've taken. We're not posting too many as we've had such a hard time getting things to upload with our internet connection problems. We won't even tell you how long it took us to get the koi bubbleshare uploaded.


We've been searching & searching for baby koi in our ponds, waiting for them to hatch & come out of hiding. Well the day finally came. We found babies today!!! Yep, little tiny koilets, tee hee. We can hardly wait for them to get bigger so we can get some pictures. We hope many of them survive cause we have a whole big list of our pals' names to use for naming them. We still have several koi that were born last year that Mama has decided to keep, so we'll be naming those too. Sometimes she waits until they are older to decide if she is keeping them. She watches how their colors & patterns change.

BTW, this is Snickers posting today. Inspector Butcho has taken off on a secret mission. He left right away this morning on our pink 4 wheeler. Hmmmmmm, wonder what he is up to??? Mama also found that someone has taken some of her white & brown mohair fabric. Now who would need that???
