IT'S FINALLY DONE!

Hey Pals,
Some of you might think this post is a bit boring, but for quilters, enjoy. We wanted to share what Mama FINALLY finished after 2 years. Yep, 2 years. It was almost done after the first winter she worked on it, then it was Spring, then Summer & you know, you start doing things outside while the weather is nice. So the quilt just sat in a corner. Well about 3 weeks ago, Mama finally decided to finish this quilt. It's only her second huge quilt, nothing fancy. But it sure will keep us warm when we curl up in it, hehehehe. And yes, Mama lets us curl up on her quilts.
Papa is hiding behind the quilt, holding it up while standing on the bar stools.

Here are some of the blocks on the quilt:

And now for the really important stuff:
Tell one, tell all, doggies, kitties, hamsters, fish, and Wheelies, Surpwise Pawty for Asta -Home From Wome!
Visit Scruffy & BabyStan's blog for pawty details & be sure to sign up with Aire-Ruby if you need a ride. Hope to see everyone there.

Wirey Hugs!

Oh my...that is beautiful. And you guys are so lucky you get to curl up under the quilt. We like the way the fabric goes together, and know it will look lovely with the rest of your house.

oh dogness that is an amazingly beautiful quilt. we dogs don't see very many hand made quilts these days. we could totally believe that it would take 2 years to make that. it's amazing. you kiddos are so lucky to get to curl up in it. if we had our own quilt we would curl up and never get out. either that or we would chew it up and mom would get mad. that would not be good, huh?

we'll definitely be at Asta's party. we are gonna find some good garlic bread cuz that's what you've gotta have when you eat italian - lots of garlic, lots of butter, and lots of crust! yummmm....

woofs!

OMG !!! This is not an easy job! Over here in Singapore, during the olden days , most of the parents will do this "blanket" for the kids, it takes lots & lots of time !

This is beautiful ! Good Job !

Oh Man...she lets you two sleep on that??? It's a work of art...!!!! How did she make all the different squares? That's amazing. Mumsie can barely sew a stuffie back together without whining!!!!!

It's really pretty...tell ur mom she's very very talented!!!

Lacie's on her way...she got done at Noah's today and left there early this morning...she should be gettin' to ur house by midnight to help with the patient.

She's a busy girl.

Thanks for postin' bout the party...it's gonna be a BLAST!

Wow that must have taken a LOT of work to finish that quilt!! I'm sure your mom used a sewing machine, rather than stitching it by hand. And of course, that quilt must be for your use...what else would it be for?

The quilt is most beautiful! Your mama is so creative. And you get to sleep on it. All I'm allowed to sleep on is a throw from Wallmart. I better have a talk with my Mama, although she can't sew a stitch !!

PS... can't wait for the bandanas!!
