Bloggers Of The World Award & More Snow

Hey Pals,
We are so honored to accept this award that was given to us by our good friend Snowball! Thank you so much Snowball.

This award was originated by Colin and he requested for recipients of this award to link it back to his blog at Colin at Free PC Security. Colin's blog contains a lot of information about PC Security. Thank you Colin for sharing PC Security information with us. We'll be visiting your blog often.

We know many of our friends have already been given this cool award so we think it should now be passed on to all pet bloggers around the world. We enjoy reading all of your blogs. So go ahead & copy the award for your blog if you haven't received it yet.

Well another snow storm rolled past here last night & this morning. We have gotten around 6 inches of new snow here where we live in Iowa. Plus, the winds have now picked up & the temperatures are way below zero! Brrrrrrrrrrrrr! We've had our fireplace going every day now for weeks. It sure makes the house warm & toasty, and ummmm, sometimes it's way too hot, hehehehe. Sometimes it gets to 90 some degrees up here in the loft, whew, a bit too hot. Mama wanted to get a few photos of us outside today, but it wasn't easy. It was so cold & windy & it's hard for her to take pics while holding both of our leashes so we don't run off. We had lots of deer roaming in our yard today too.

Now where did that bambi go??
I see one across in the field....
Hmmmm, I smell something.....
Is it mousie?? or bunny wabbit doodoo?? or deer doodoo??
Geez, I think it was you Butchy, did you do a tinky???
I Snickers just love to bury my face in the snow......
Here's me Butchy on critter alert....
Oh boy, I see some deer over there....
Where are they going??
Time so sniff out mousies.....
I know I smell one down here somewhere....
This is what the open hole on our pond now looks like.....
When it's this cold, it freezes almost shut, the air bubbles create foam with the water & snow & sometimes the tower can get over 1 foot high of frozen foam. After a few days with the sun shining, the hole will open up wide again.

Here is a deer that was getting a drink on the pond a few days ago:

Guess we better go help Mama. She's making some venison chips that Scruffy requested we bring to the poker pawty at his house tomorrow night. Be there or be square!!
Wirey Hugs!

Wow, Deer! We actually had 2 deer in our outside-the-fence yard last week. It was very exciting. Because we live inside a town it is rare for us to have deers in our yard!

We love your jackets. Very stylish. Your Momma must've made 'em fur you.

Loved all those photos. What fun figuring out what's underneath the snow!!

We tried to make an album cover -- but silly Mom got all confoosed. Maybe she'll try again if we keep nudging her. Thank you for thinking of us though.

Not sure about poker night -- but if we come, we warn you that we are very good at it, having lots of practice when we're at camp on those long nights with the other guys!!!

Hi kids, wow, it looks very cold there, but we like your snow. it's so pretty and soft and clean looking (except where Butchy made it yellow!). we wonder how the fishies like it when it is so cold in their pond. does your mommy make them cozy little fishie sweaters like you have?

We've been using our firepalce a lot, too. Dad gets our house really warm, too. I don't think we've made it to 90 though. Mom doesn't like for him to go much over 70. She's said it's too big of a temperature shock when she has to go to the bathroom.

Ohhh Mom didn't tell me about poker night! I bet it's 'cause she didn't want to have to babysit little Stewie all by herself while I'm out partying. Humpf! We doggies all do that every night, do I get a break???
Ooh, venison chips???? I go nuts when I see deer. That's good eating for months! You are so lucky! We had some snow and it's fun and maybe we'll get more this weekend..

Love

Your outside looks brilliant, much better than our outside right now. Rain rain and more rain. Yeah although it's summer here, you'd never know it. Right now we have our fire going in the guest lounge room and our guests are enjoying the warmth. Don't get me wrong, it's no where near as cold as your place and never will be but we're whimps and any degree of coolness results on the fire going on. We even had it lit on Christmas day for the family.
Your photos look fantastic.

Hugs and tail wags

Hello Kids, Venison chips. YUM. We love those. Too bad we no longer have a deer hunter in the fam. :(

We love the snow, too. But, we have only had rain. It's fun biting the snow!

Wow! look at all that snow! So does your fur change color in the snow like the Sibes' nose?

We did the band meme and our band is "the economic history of Australia", the album is "Sitting next to me" and the picture is a Panda! Just like a Landseer!

You two are the best dressed dogs on the internet! Wish Stella and I could go tunnel through the snow drifts with you. We both LOVE to plunge our faces right into the snow and root around (I'm kind of surprised STella likes the snow & cold so much... being a Florida girl and all).

Your photos are FAB! Stay toasty.

Goober love,
Stanley
