DWB hosts smashing Howwwwlloween Pawty!!
The hottest pawty of the year was held at Opy & Charlie's house this past Saturday. Doggies from all over the world attended the smashing Howwwwlloween Pawty. There were bones galore, biscuits to just howl for and many even wore their Howwwwlloween Costumes. One wirey dude in particular even wore a lampshade! Here he was, floating on his rubber ducky in the pool wearing a lampshade! He even had nekkid toes!! Someone thought maybe he ate too many little umbrellas from the Mai Tai drinks, hehehe! Can you guess who he was??

Thought we would show you that little clip that was in our newspaper today, tee hee! We sure had a busy fun weekend at Opy & Charlie's home for the pawty!!
We even got picked up in a dog jet to fly there. Did we tell you that Snickers & I wore our Halloween costumes that Mama made for us from scratch?? Well here are some pics of our outfits:








Man, we must have doggie jet lag or something. We are so tired. Maybe we ate too much pawty food too, tee hee! Guess we better go take a nap so we can carve our pumpkin out later tonight with Mama!

SNICKERSIZING

Hey Pals,
Mama finally got some lighting set up to take a video of me on the tread mill. I like to have the satellite tv set on the music channels so I can walk to the beat, hehehe!
What do you think? Should I make a doggie exercise video?? Too bad Butchy doesn't like to walk on the treadmill.
Here is a funky picture Mama took today. I look like I'm from another planet or something:

My eyes look green! Eiccckkkkk! Do I have an alien inside of me? Did one come out of the pumpkin and take over my body?? Mama is always watching those scaaawwwwy movies and now I'm paranoid. Well we'll find out what's inside that pumpkin in a few days when we carve it up! Catch ya all later, time to have my protein drink!

We're Bald!!

Hey Pals,
Mama went and did it, she butched us! She's spent the last 2 nights stripping and cutting our hair and then tonight she had to give us a stupid bath! She cut us shorter than normal too, what's up with that? It's freezing cold out for goodness sake. Does she want us to freeze our little wirey tails off?? Then she even had the nerve to brush our teeth, geezzz! The above pictures are me Butchy showing each side of me. Mama keeps my color nice and dark on my body. She didn't get any pictures of Snickers yet. Mama was so mad tonight. She had some really nice videos from the camera of Snickers and they turned out too dang dark to post. Ya see Snickers has a new hobby. Yep, she decided since she's almost past those teenage years that she better start watching her figure. So she started using the treadmill! and wow, she is really good at it. Goes pretty darn fast too. Papa had me try it, and bah, I don't like it one bit. So hopefully tomorrow night Mama will have some new videos that you can see of Snickers.

We had nothing but rain, rain and more rain today. The trees and plants still need more, but we don't like it. We don't like getting our little tootsies all gooey with gross stuff from outside. We need to do some collecting outside for Miss Sunshade's little project. She's trying to come up with a new doggie perfume and we had some suggestions for her. Deer & Turkey doo doo! Yeah! We even probably have some Red Tail Hawk doo doo from today too! He's been eating at the deer gut pile in the yard. Mama was hoping to see an Eagle come eat, but none have scoped out the gut pile yet. Darn! Mama likes to get pictures of the birds. Here is a picture of a Hawk she took last winter:

Hey Jaffe Boy, Mama got a deer!!

Hey Pals,
Sorry we haven't posted much but Mama has been muzzleload deer hunting this past week. Today the season ended and Mama shot a huge doe deer! Now we can fill the freezer with meat for the year, yum yum! We'll post her picture down towards the end of the post. That way if some of you don't like hunting or don't like to see dead animals, you don't have to look, tee hee! Miss Sunshade the hunter, we bet you would like to see it! Mama was waiting for a big buck to come around, but they always came out after shooting time was over each night. The deer was so big that Papa could hardly drag the thing.

We were so excited to see our pal Isabella back to blogging today. She had been gone for so long, we thought that maybe one of those aligators or monster birds ate her, eeeiiick! We heard that some of our pals hitched a ride with Rudolph and went down to Florida to talk with Bellas Mama to set her straight, hehehehe!

On a sad note, our buddy Buster was missing his bestest pal ever today. It has been one year since Lucky went to the Rainbow bridge. Buster has such a nice picture display of her and has written the wonderful memories he has of her. So everyone cross their paws and say a little prayer for Buster & his Mama tonight!!

We thought we better post this just like Miss Sunshade did since some of her viewers were having problems seeing her blog in the new beta version if they are using Internet Explorer for viewing.

Beta Blogger is best viewed with Firefox. It loads much faster. Also, Firefox is much better for entering posts too. We don't have any trouble loading pics or videos since switching to Firefox. We had lots of trouble when using Internet Explorer.

Short Videos of us Playing

Hi Pals,
First we wanted to thank all of you that took the time to vote for us in the Awesome Blog Award contest. Doesn't look like we'll be winning but maybe another time. Here are some short videos Mama took of us on Tuesday while we played & wrestled. You'll notice on some you can see the blue leash hooked to Snickers, that's so Mama could keep us in camera range, hehehehe! See when we wrestle, we run all around the loft and even hop from chair to couch, to loveseat and around. Mama calls us little mountain goats cause we like to be on the top edges of the furniture. You'll hear me Butchy make some of my weird noises. I tried not to be too loud, tee hee!

Now to the BIG GREEN MONSTERS!!! See that big green thing in the picture above?? They are all over the fields by us and taking over the land. They even eat up the corn stalks and soybean plants! After they eat everything up, then they spit out stuff into another smaller monster, very scaaawwwwyyy! Some of the monsters have these long funny looking things that stick out to the sides and that's where stuff comes out, so maybe that's there mouth?? The BIG GREEN MONSTER has these really pointy things that stick out the front that grabs the corn stalks and then the stalks just disappear! Where do they go? Do they beam them up to another planet or sometin?? They also make really loud strange noises and lots of black smoke shoots out of a tube on top! Mama says the smoke smells like diesel. Eeewwwwwhhh! These monsters also make lots of dust fly all over and it's hard to breathe sometimes. We sure hope da Army guys come and wipe out these monsters soon!!

Guess we better go hide for a bit. We'll post some videos of us playing together later on tonight!!

Hi Pals,
Did you check out our new Bubbleshare pics up above?? The top one is Butchy's pics and the next one is me Snickers. I get to blog today cause Butchy is playing fetch with Mama. We don't have too many little puppy pics of Butchy cause he was already 3 1/2 years old when Mama & Papa rescued him. But his other Mama did make a little scrapbook for my Mama when she gave us Butchy. That was very nice of her!!

Hey Jaffe, no deer tendons yet. No big bucks came out for Mama yet and she passed up about 20 does tonight. We sure are getting hungry for some of those tendons.

Miss Sunshade, Butchy wanted to show you that he has been helping Mama make your wetsuit, see:
Butchy: Hey Mama, you need to move this piece over here before you cut it!
Butchy: Yeh, that's much better!

Then can you believe Mama & Butchy had the nerve to make me stay home and guard the house while they went to the post office?? Seems they were mailing something to one of Butchy's girlfriends, Fee, and Butchy just had to help Mama mail it to her.



Hahaha, too bad, Butchy couldn't go into the post office! No Dogs Allowed, unless they are service dogs and Butchy is no service dog. Such a bummer though, doggies can't go anywhere in buildings around here except for the vet!

My Talk With Mr. Squirrel & Some of Mama's Quilts

Hey Pals,
We are freezing our wittle wirey tails off today. It snowed here last night and early this morning and turned realwy cold and windy. We don't like cold! Neither does Mama , it makes her arthuwitis bad. Then yesterday, the ewectricity went out for a whole hour! So Mama started the fiwerpwace to keep us toasty! Can we come visit some of our pals that live in a warm climate??

Today Mr. Squirrel said he wanted to have a tail to tail talk with me Butchy. Seems he is feeling depressed cause I've been playing with my new green shark!

He told me he's sorry that his squeaky thing doesn't work anymore.

So I told him I would play with him for a bit.

Then I tossed him around by his tail.

Then I chomped on him for a bit. Woof woof!


Some of our pals' Mama's make quilts so we thought we would show some quilts that our Mama has made:
This is her Happy Jack quilt for Halloween:

This is her first big bed quilt, she even made the pattern smaller to make shams that match:

The whole quilt is moose theme since Mama likes to collect moose things.

More Info About Breed Bandanas

Woof Pals,
We have quite a few doggie pals asking about the breed bandanas, so we thought we would give you some more poop scoop on them, hehehe!
Mama can get almost any breed on the fabric. They are all head profiles. The head size is approx. 5 inches tall. So the only size that might not look good is the Extra Small as these bandanas are very small compared to the 5 inch head print. You can also order custom sizes, up to XXXL. The fabric comes in lots of colors so if you are interested in one, please send us an email (go to our profile page and click on email) and Mama will email you back with the color choices. Hey Pals,
We just found out that our blog got an Honorary Mention for the week on Wikifido.com. Yippeeee! Then, some of our pals did also, Miss Sunshade & T-man. Congrats to them!!!
Then, our newest doggie bloggie pal 'Toby Littledude', he was awarded Dog Blog of the Week on Wikifido.com. Tobes is a little Maltese and has a very cute blog! And here is his cute face:

Boy are we stuffed today! Mama made us those yummy turkey treats that Miss Sunshade's Mama makes. They are delish! We highly recommend everyone to try them out.
Our weather has turned for the worse here in Iowa today. It's very cold, raining and just darn yucky outside. We thought we would post pics Mama took of some of our colorful trees the other day. We still have one that turns really red, but it hasn't turned much yet. Mama is hoping it will turn before getting too cold here, otherwise the leaves won't turn red and they will just fall off.





Then we promised Mama we would post these pictures of Wire Fox Terrier print bandanas that she has for sale. There are 3 colors and in each color there are 2 mediums and 1 large. She will list them on the auction booth later tonight.



Well it's time for us to go play with toys now, so tune in tomorrow with us!

My New Birthday Toy & Cake Recipe

Hey Pals,
Boo wanted to know if I got any birthday presents, well I sure did. This is my new green and gray shark! His name is Sharkbait!Here's a better picture of him:

Then I throw him down onto the ground and wrestle with him. Can you see my squirrel to the right? He's jealous and keeps begging me to play with him!
Mister Squirrel got tired of waiting for me to play with him and decided to lay down for a nap:
At least the squeaker lasted almost 2 nights of playing, hehehehe!

Some of our pals were asking for the recipe of my birthday cake, so here it is:

Doggie Cake
Preheat Oven to 325 degrees.
Ingredients:
1 cup whole wheat or white flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup chopped/unsalted peanuts (these can be omitted)
1/4 cup canola oil
1/3 cup honey
1 egg
1/2 cup peanut butter
5 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup grated carrots
Combine flour, baking soda and peanuts. Mix in oil, honey, egg, peanut butter, vanilla and carrots, stir well.
Pour into greased & floured 9 X 9 or 8 X 8 cake pan and bake for 15-20 minutes.
If your dog likes peanut butter, spread peanut butter on top of cake as a frosting!!
Send some cake to Butchy & Snickers, hehehe!

I wanted to tank evewyone for the nice birfwday wishes!! Above is my 6 year owd picture Mama took of me. Papa always goes to work weawwy earwy in the morning, so when I got up on my birfwday, here was a birfwday card that Papa weft for wittle ol me:
I was so happy!! Den we had to wait all day for Papa to come home to have my pawty. Mama even made us birfwday hats that said: HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUTCHY! on dem. Here is me with my birwfday cake & stuff:

We smell something good in the oven!!

Hiya Pals,
Man, we sure have our wittle noses wriggling around cause we smell someting peanutbuttewy in the oven. Uh oh, it's Butchy's birwfhday cake!!! We can't wait til tomorrow to get to eat some. Mama makes good doggie cakes! Peanut Butter & Carrot Cake with Peanut Butter Frosting! We'll post the wecipe tomowow. Mama's going to the grocewy store tomowow & going to buy the ingwedients to make those yummy tuwkey tweats that Sunshade's Mama makes. Yummmmmmmy! We'll be getting fat tomowow! hehehehe!!

We wanted to thank our new wirey pal Bailey, Miss Sunshade, Fee, Party & Mango, and C-K-C (Charlie Kelley-Church) for helping donate to the Daisy fund so far this month. We also wanted to remind you, that if you see an item in the auction booth or on our blog that you like, but not in your size, or you are looking for a different color, please email us cause sometimes Mama has other sizes here or she can make your size for you, or make custom colors for you too! Here are some new fleece coats she has just listed.
