WINTER HERE TO STAY?

Hey Pals,

Well it looks like the normal Iowa winter is here for a while now.  It has been horribly cold since the last snow storm and it's only -1 degrees right now not counting the wind chill factor.  We have another snow storm on it's way.  We're supposed to get another 4-6 inches of snow tomorrow, uggggggh!  Our tootsies are going to freeze when we go outside to potty.

The bambi are sleeping on our land more, they like to curl up in our bushy areas to get out of the wind.  There were at least 2 dozen deer out there this morning.  We got pictures of a few of them.  It's hard to get a good photo with all of those darn bush branches in the way.

The open area on our largest pond is almost closed up now with these below zero temperatures.  The ice isn't very thick yet, so the deer walked around the opening, but didn't get close enough for a drink.  Think they figured out they might fall through.  They've been there done that before!

Our girlie cat Hootie is smart, she lays in a sun spot with the fireplace behind her to keep warm!

I think Sparky & I should find a nice sunny spot to go lay in and take a nappy!

THE STEELERS LOST!

Hey Pals,

Our team lost the football game Sunday night.  I Katie cheered & cheered for them, but they apparently didn't hear me.

So much for that.  Sylvester and I were bummed they lost, so we took a nap together.

SPARKY 6 MONTHS OLD ON 01/04/2012

Hey Pals,

My brudder Sparky turned 6 months old.  It's so hard to believe he is that old already.  Time sure flies when you're wrestling all of the time and playing bitey face.

What's even more shocking, he's bigger than me Katie!!!

Happy New Year's Eve 2011!

Hey Pals,

Lacie & I Katie are going to a New Year's Eve pawty dance tonight.  Mama made us special matching velvet pawty dresses just for the occasion.  She found a kid's dance outfit at a garage sale this summer for a whole .25 cents and made us dresses from it.

I should send Mama to more garage sales this new year.

IT'S WHEELY WEDNESDAY!

Hey Pals,

It's me Katie today.  Sparky and I have been kind of bored cause Mama's been sick since last Thursday night.  Wish she would hurry up and get over this stuff.  When she is sick, she gets very very bored cause she really doesn't feel like doing anything around here.  But I convinced her to hurry up and finish my WHEELIE!

Yep, the Line Bros. wheelie that she was restoring with new mohair so that it looks like me Katie.

She finally finished her yesterday.

Now she needs to make one that looks like Sparky!  Sparky does like the wheelies.  See how he likes to stick his rump under this one:

I told Sparky that Uncle Eric warns us about these peskie wheelies.  Best beware, they might attack us at any moment!
